admin has said this site is designed for speed and low-processing overhead.  Fancy with slow reloads is not a desirable thing.

I don't think having people hang here is the goal either.  Download and go.  Better to let other sites be fancy and get targeted.

I have been using the site for a little while now. It is a great place to find shows. But damn the site design is ugly. Even so much that i am willing to assist in a redesign and execution if needed.

The name is usually the color scheme.  Then look up the name under characters in anidb.

Yeah, and the method of blocking was strange (HTTP worked, HTTPS didn't).
Just checked again, and HTTPS is no longer being blocked... so I've re-enabled Sendspace uploading (though I'll probably still look at implementing another host anyway since it doesn't seem to be that popular).
Maybe some glitch in their setup or something.

Have you tried selecting a dark option from the 'Style:' selector on the left side of the page?

As above commenters have mentioned, a traceroute can give an indication as to where the connection is being dropped - if it stops responding within a few hops, it'd be something closer to you. If it gets most of the way to the server, it's probably something related to the host.
The hosting provider here has been known to filter out addresses, so that's entirely a possibility.

If it appears to be a server end issue, try dropping your traceroute output, along with your IP address, here and I can ask the host to look into it. If it's possible, try noting down your assigned IP addresses when you can and can't connect.
Otherwise you may have to resort to using proxies/VPNs or similar to access the main site (or stick to using the mirror).

The feed actually includes both torrent and NZB. You may need to signal your client to prefer the NZB. If that doesn't work, you can try appending '?only_nzb=1' to the URL (or if there's already a '?' character in it, append '&only_nzb=1' instead).

There are many such groups which publish only on their websites and rely on ddl or streaming ad revenue or membership.  Others provide some of their content or for a limited time via torrent, then archives via ad revenue or membership.

small and terrible theory but is this anime-plaza group/website thing trying to get people to fork over money for their encodes?

they had already uploaded new episodes of some animes to their website but they rarely upload new episodes on nyaa.

A tracert would give AT something they could ask their ISP about, but the occasional nature of the problem makes a solution doubtful.

As you have probably guessed, the short answer is that this is a problem at your end and AT won't be able to do anything about it.  It will probably clear itself up on its own eventually.  Until then, the mirror site.

You can run tracert for curiosity.

Only sometimes. No partial loading, main site server was completely  inaccessible (Error: This site can’t be reached - ERR_CONNECTION_TIMED_OUT) for 5 hours until this comment. Had to use AT mirror site instead.

Thanks for the work and funds.  It's interesting to speculate on what prompted Sendspace after all these years.  I don't think there has been any surge in AT uploads to them, and Sendspace hasn't seemed to be bothered much by dmca or been in the news.

Oh well.

It appears that they've blocked the server's IP.
I've had to remove them as an upload target.

Thanks for the comments.

I believe the service is fine but they may have changed their response format as of 12/17.  admin will have to see if AT can work with it.  I think it's now similar to another service's screen, so I believe it can be worked out, probably.

Oops, you're right. I must've confused it with another host.

Maybe it isn't great for free users anymore so adding another option I get but cutting it out completely when it generally keeps links alive the longest for AT files in most cases "isn't Great".  Whatever though not going to sweat it. Moving on.

UploadFiles has a limit of 1GB per file, and the upload script current doesn't support splitting.
I was hoping to test them out a bit before implementing file splitting, as it would require a bit of work. As such, it currently only uploads files up to 1GB.

I'm the OP and I agree with you and that's why I said "SolidFiles was great". SF's only rivals now are Mega and MediaFire which can't be used by AT unfortunately :(

Personally I like Solidfiles because even after the purge in data and a smaller library some of the Solidfiles links from 2 years ago are still active. You cant find that with any of the other hosters now.

You know the links aren't there, but how do you know AT doesn't push them instead of Uploadfiles doesn't accept them?

Is there a reason why only uploads less than 1 GB are pushed to UploadFiles? Could you split those into multiple zip files?

Looking into it, it seems like the Medusa ignores parameters you give it, so even if you specify 'only_nzb=1', it effectively gets thrown away.
I've made a comment on their bug tracker to suggest it be fixed.
