Sites need someone to manage them though - they don't really just "run themselves". You can have different levels of involvement, but it's never really zero.
Even a pure community group on some third-party managed website needs management (unless you don't care for any moderation whatsoever).

I mainly meant as a way to keep the site operational after your departure. But, I'm sure it's a lot more complicated than organizing a community group to keep it running when things break.

The idea is, since it's mostly automated, turn it into an anonymous self-run site with minor intervention when needed. You can depart and stop, and the community would take on the responsibility.

I know it's not likely possible (since setting up a community is extremely difficult) or will happen, but it's just sad when quality parts of the internet die off.

The updates process here is pretty much all automated already.
As for 'community run', I'm not sure how that'd work exactly. If it's basically people manually reuploading from torrents with associated metadata, I'm sure someone could set up a forum to accomplish that. It wouldn't be what this site does though.

No, it's unrelated. As above commenter points out, the feed is running in degraded mode due to the server running out of bandwidth. Search queries (those with 'q' parameter) are likely affected the most.
It should be back to normal in 2-3 days.

But seriously, if anyone manages to see about creating a "successor" after this site's operations ceases torrent fetching/processing in May, *please* let all of us know. As I said earlier, I've been using this site to get the Aikatsu and Precure episodes in question when they post especially. IMHO, a resource like this is still badly needed.

Hi, there are some warez sites that i use to download full seasons animes in BD.

It's going to be a pain to find new anime and enjoy it in the future.
For non torrent downloads or direct net free streaming it's back to 720p or worse, good sites skipping anime they don't like, waiting  a week or more for new episodes, tags, pay only or throttled download links and sources being shut down constantly by the efforts of pay to view sites.

Those who have experienced free anime enjoyment almost exclusively thru Anime Tosho  are in for quite an unpleasant time once things end here.

I'm sad this place is shutting down, but it's not a betrayal. The admin has been doing us all a big favour for many years. I'm grateful they ran the site for as long as they did.

Is there a way you can just maintain the attachments (subtitles) for future uploads? I don't care about DDL or screenshots but I always used this site to quickly download the subs without having to download the entire torrent.

I bet you're the type that says a group has "betrayed" you when they quit releasing. The admin has outlasted lots of groups in longevity and has done it at no cost to any of us. Do you expect him to be your "slave" for life?

Uh, I believe that's what the site administrator said, that when the time comes, he plans to make the backend code of how this site works public include the downloading and processing of posted torrents for whoever wants to make a "successor".
