Who said magically? Tell me. And Android 7 is barely a year old. Google guarantees at least 3 years of security updates. If it would be a Nexus 6/9 ...
Nope, there are quite a some of Custom ROMs that are regularly updated also on older Versions. It depends on some factors like popularity of the device, open source of drivers etc. If one wants to be future proof he has to do some homework, but that's not the topic. You could only argue about android 5. Just saw/know of recent updates provided for Android 4 and 6, not 5 - but who am I to talk.
So you say devices with Android 7, yet waiting for security updates guilty for most of them are inferior to those with latest security updates (including community updates)?

Just some opinion about Mint. I personally would not recommend Mint for inexperienced users, as the selection of updates in the default config might cause serious security issues. Already discussed here: https://www.reddit.com/r/linux/comment...ty_record/
On PC , other then adblock you should also use anti exploit, i recommend this one: https://forums.malwarebytes.com/topic/...lone-beta/ , it basically prevent nasty stuff from your browser to get into your PC.
and also if you want to be more secure use NoScript addon on Firefox, it's a hassle at first but it worth it if you really want to make sure no nasty/unknown sources running on a webstte you visited.
If you really want to be on the safe side, use virtual machine.
ThatClockWorkPlanetGuy so you're the HEVC vs h264 dude? From what I gather from your posts lately you're actually testing encoding yourself? Mad props in that case. I tried dabbling with handbrake a bit but their binaries of x264 and x265 are not always up to date and you need nightly to get 10, 12 bit encoding working. I also have a weak i3 so x265 takes ages. The internet provides what I want so there's literary no reason. BTW I also have ~500 GB of anime but filled with mostly mini 10 bit x264 stuff so idk 3-4 TB with high quality rips is a possibility; but not 120TB no way man, noone has that kind of time to watch all that shit. I mean even r/datahoarder rarely has that kind of people, and it's usually BTRFS'd or raided or something not external drives.
@RamenSub I share your pain, I had to live like 2.5 years with a walk-in room. There was no hallway if you get what I'm saying, you had to pass from room to room. I don't know what the english word is for an apartment like that. My roomate also had a nasty habit of bursting out of his room and would scare the shit out of me regardless if I was doing something sketchy or not. All that until I told him "Dude, do you like want to see me handling meat?".
Sure it does. You think those patches are magically pushed to the old devices? Are aware of planned obsolescence and fragmentation? Google only provide monthly ASB updates for Nexus devices for certain time frame https://support.google.com/nexus/answe...us_devices
Custum ROMs stopped backporting those patches to older versions long. Cold hard truth is that you must upgrade to major version for those security updates, whether it's on custom ROM or stock android version. So no, Clockwork guy doesn't seem to have latest security updates.
I'm curious: how can you know he ain't got security patches? The latest Bulletin covers everything from 4.4.4. So if he got a google device or is on custom rom with recent updates ... No, actually that is more secure than most Android 7 devices.
This is the internet, if something sucks, then everyone will gang up on it. And always, the collective opinion of many is what matters. DanMachi is just another seasonal anime that will be forgotten once it's over.
Sorry for teh drama guys. I see some of you even grabbed some popcorn lol. I will admit I got a bit triggered by that 120TB of anime statement. Not saying its not possible but Idk if animetosho has processed that much in the last 6 months. Maybe in the last year but eh ...
I agree to different strokes for different folks but damn, you could at least mention what parts you like. You didn't like Re:Zero cuz time jumps and stuff like that. I liked it partly because of that, even though they could be a little jarring. Boom! our tastes don't match. I'm fine with that.
Identifying sources of enjoyment is crucial to people finding out other sources of the same stuff. That's what brings us here. That's what sparked this conversation. But there are similar tropes that have been executed better. What parts did you like? The adventure, exploration? The comedy? The fantasy setting? The harem stuff? Hestias boob ribbon? Ok, last one hasn't been executed better. I even see romance as a tag on MAL but I'm not even gonna touch that with a 10 feet pole.
What scenes made you laugh? What made you cry? What kept you at the edge of your seat? I'm genuinely curious bcz I found very few good and original scenes of the sort in this show. But this is just like, my opinion man.
You will not have to worry about deadly viruses if you are on Linux. Install Linux Mint. Install uBlock Origin, Bluhell Firewall and Avira Browser Safety on Firefox and you are good. Also enable Gufw firewall which comes preloaded with Linux Mint. For download manager, you can use uGet Download Manager with Flashgot.
Even coffee has to have some attributes you like: it's bitter, it's hot etc
Does it really matter? Do opinions need justification? I don't really see much point in trying to identify a source of enjoyment. Perhaps I like X. Maybe it's because of Y, or maybe Z, but to whom does it matter?
Of course, if everyone held that philosophy, it'd be pretty boring as there'd be little debate, so just ignore what I said and continue.
Welp no one asked you about DanMachi, but you posted it anyway. No one asked me to reply either, but I replied anyway. It's ok though, that's what makes us human.
I still can't help but notice is that even when asked you still dodge the question regarding your opinion about a show you obv hold in high regard. Even coffee has to have some attributes you like: it's bitter, it's hot etc ... But not one word about it. So yeah ... at least you got a new naming scheme for your 26 hdds lel
Admin is probably crying rn cuz of all the bandwidth this convo took.
You suggested that you've somewhat outgrown Naruto. What I've outgrown is thinking anyone needs or wants my opinions about anime, even though I'm chock full of information.
For your own growth, start by noticing how no one ever asks for your opinions.
What you can't enjoy tells me something about you, not about anime.
