Censorship and the Internet: Two things which do not go well together. We get fresh voices and fast new information here because anyone can contribute to notes anytime. It's great!
There is something VERY VERY WEIRD about someone complaining about being defamed while using Anonymous or even registered names here, since such names are not tied to any real personal information. Very, very weird.
The truth is the Internet is the playground where you need to develop your own ability to handle unpleasantness. The protected sort of life this Anonymous wants can only be had in a few countries and only by the very wealthy. So he should concentrate his efforts on becoming rich or becoming strong. Actually, just becoming normal. ------------------------------------------- Let's think about this another way: Comments are optional, and comments sometimes bother this fellow. So why is he reading and writing comments at all? Why not just download anime? I guess it's because he is looking for opportunities to be social. That's commendable. The problem is that he is probably in the wrong place for what he is looking for. I think he would find much more satisfaction in a "Members Only Can Comment" club somewhere, where people like him will know how to properly treat people like him. How to find such a place? I would say narrow your focus as much as possible and look for groups interested in that topic, like Naruto, for example. That's my best practical advice. But I think it would be much better if you made personal growth your goal, instead of finding or creating a place that doesn't offend you.
Thank you admin-san for the poll, although it isnt what I imagined, I've thought that the site is able to creat polls like some wordpress-base fansub sites. And I have circumstances that not allowed me to created the poll I desired.
I'm not sure of the exact effect of these filters. I'm sure you could guess what a particular censored word is, from the context, so I've always wondered whether they actually make what's said less insulting.
Of course, that's assuming that people don't come up with clever ways to bypass filters, of which there always is.
Sorry for having mostly a 'no can do' attitude. Perhaps I'm just too pessimistic...
[DeadFish] To LOVE-Ru Darkness - Batch [BD][720p][MP4][AAC]
Admin-san could you possiblely add this? :( i know its passed 3gb but its only 260mb difference and this is the only place i have to download w/o torrent.. Thanks!
I would totally agree, Tsutsukakushi Tsukiko is best girl and deserves as much attention as possible. But then all the Azuki Azusa fans would rage (and if fotc goes on here, I imagine a long-winded response demanding replacement or removal). So it's probably best if admin-san doesn't touch this topic. ;-)
Besides a new season will soon be upon on, that means a new theme (and new kawaii girls to look at)!
Or you know, you could create your own theme using stylish, if you don't already get enough of Tsukiko.
Poll is a nice idea :D ! just saying . i remember that there used to be a sentence saying that " WE ARE NOT GOOGLE " :D . where did that go ? that was fun . are u google now :D .. no offence . i just wanted to lighten the mood a little .
I can get why you do not want to restrict people to registering .How about a simple filter on nasty language to stop the less discerning user-base from just popping up and calling people bitches and worse[i won't post specific words, but you can guess which i mean] for no good reason. It might dissuade trolling in the comments if such words are automatically filtered, anyway it was just a suggestion and i do not even no if you could implement it. Thank you for the reply.
Unfortunately, I think that restricting comments to registered users would only reduce the number of comments as opposed to the number of unfavorable ones. It's somewhat the nature of the internet that you'll get unfavorable responses and these are difficult to prevent. I'd say it would be in your best interests to try ignoring these, and not to get too personally attached to comments, in general, in the first place. Sorry for any inconveniences, annoyances or dissatisfaction this may have caused.
We do get a number of quality anonymously posted comments, and I'd like to encourage these by continuing to allow anonymous comments.
Yeah, the fact that we have that info isn't particularly obvious in the interface. Improving the file information display is something I've had in mind for a while. I might use that to make things a bit clearer.
As for series/plot information, I actually don't really trust the script on the accuracy of such. I'd rather people look up info on other sites like AniDB/ANN/MAL because they do it way better. Perhaps making these links more obvious might help?
This is an interesting idea, though I'm not sure how to implement it easily. Seems like it could work well in a forum or wiki context, based on comments as a poll might actually be limiting...
I'm not 100% sure about this but I think files uploaded in encrypted sites don't get deleted, at least not immediately. I've checked the anonfiles links here from when it was first used and they're still alive. Though it's quite difficult to look for these sites cause not all support encryption.
I think it is about time you implement a filtering policy in the comments section so only registered people can comment.I have been accused of being a criminal who is spreading viruses and hacking personal info https://animetosho.torrentbay.st/view/cs-love-ru...mment16273 .I do not care about trolling ,etc. But i do not like being falsely accused of being a criminal and would not do so to anyone else without concrete evidence of the matter and would then take it to the police .Obviously this person can't because they are lying and posting illegal content themselves and would be prosecuted. Please add an e-mail contact as well for matters such as this in future do they can be addressed privately if needed .Thank you.
Could you add a note saying to click on the file name for more encoding/rar/media info or the series name for plot/anidb info on the comments section so that people can stop posting the obvious comments such as whats in the files or plot summary's that are already posted by you.
For people who use IRC, is the link in the side bar being used? Whilst I appreciate Envy's efforts for setting it up, if it's not particularly useful, it may be wise to remove it.
I've had files gone dead unfortunately. I'm not sure whether this has anything to do with account inactivity or whatnot - it's just something I've noticed. Dropbox also impose a transfer limit on each account, although with the small amount of storage space each account has, this might not be too big of a deal.
It's quite a nice host, but I feel like it wouldn't work too well for the mass uploading pattern that we do here. The process is relatively complex, as each file uploaded requires a new account to be created. They often change their website, and it also seems to be pretty trivial for them to block us, if they had to do that. I'll leave it in consideration nonetheless.
can Filewinds replaced by Davvas? :) will be better choice i think since Filewinds doesn't support resume downloads upload mkv/mp4 as it is (without 7z) on Davvas please. if you decide to use it :) http://davvas.com/
I'd like to make a poll about which file hoster ppl usually use and its non/free user download speed, include those Tibb provide. It's better if set stick on homepage, it'll help most ppl, I guess.
About the fix for AnonFiles corruption, in the Repair the file/part with a torrent section, there's a shorter steps actually. It's confirmed using uTorrent Step 1-3. the same with the guide. Step 4. Without starting the torrent (or stop it if you have autostart), click on the files tab. Step 5. Right click on the file and choose Relocate... Step 6. Choose the file you've downloaded from AnonFiles (the extracted one). Step 7. Start the torrent. It'll automatically check the file for a while and then automatically download it.
Retention time is incredible for dropbox, can't be compared to Putlocker or any other host.. You can try it yourself on older files +5 months old. I don't think files ever get deleted, and there is no chance of DMCA. No waiting time and good speeds that support multi-thread download. Many pros if you asked me! If it returned it would be awesome.
It's mostly been a pain to maintain because we don't actually use the Dropbox API and they keep changing their website. Currently, it's being replaced by Putlocker, although this is still mostly in experimental stages.
It was only ever displayed for older files and success rate wasn't terribly high...
