1. MediaFire seems to be irreplaceable, for some reason. I guess that's because it's almost universally fast and almost universally available. Every other service produces good results in some part of the world and bad results in others, judging from the variety of comments. MU was the only other service that produced relatively consistently good results world-wide. I think therefore the focus of our discussion should be on getting MF, instead of alternates and mirrors.
2. I assume MF has noticed all the traffic coming from here and wants to begin making some money from it, hence our current situation. Rather than ask admin to do any more than he already is, if someone else would be willing to maintain a premium account with MF and arrange for the AT bots to use that account? I don't see any other real alternatives. (Well, maybe one but I'd feel bad -tricking MF by randomizing submissions and user addresses.)
3. I worry that the charm of this hobby will fade for admin.
Maybe changing the extension of the files can help. Eg. instead of putting .001 or .mkv or .avi for the files extensions admin can try changing them to .ats, .fmf or any irrelevent extensions... See will this help the durability of the files.
I would love to help mirror mediafire links and such but it's so hard to keep track of things on this website. I wish there was some sort of forum or CMS that can allow people to PM me/Message me or a thread where I could keep my links =|. Any ideas, admin?
It's exactly why I've been trying to avoid using accounts. There's some things I can try, but I'm doubting their viability long-term. Thanks for the notice + suggestion regardless.
Actually, MirrorStack decided to start working again. They're somewhat unreliable, so I wouldn't keep my hopes up that they'll continue to work (have been disabled in the past due to excessive errors) but at least for now, files will get some additional mirrors.
get HJSplit then join them when you join it, it should open up to your documents and the 1st part .001 should show up and just click it and it'll joined them together already easy & done you dont have to install it or anything
lol well that's true but hey if it was a little bigger people would notice and know why the site is having problems :P but since you reply to our comment's it's fine but yeah you're statement is very true x)
Well, to be fair, no-one reads announcements anyway. People come for the content, not to read announcements, so I thought I'd do everyone a favour and make them as unobtrusive as possible :)
I was just introduced to a great site with good download speed and no captchas and waiting time. Though i heard they are relatively new, but I don't see the harm in letting admin know of it if any of the present filehost starts failing.
Thanks for the offer of support! You can simply just post mirrors in comments. Some have done so in the past and have been well received by visitors from what I can see.
Of course, I was merely trying to make a suggestion to solve a problem. Now, if you wouldn't mind, I'm busy trying to consider how to make the colours even more toxic and gradually worsen the layouts in the future. Your comments set a high benchmark and I always strive to exceed expectations after all.
However, if you have any actual suggestions more than mere subjective evaluation, I'm more than happy to read them.
I never asked you before, where did asking again come from?.You are clearly deflecting the question to detract from your horrible grasp of even the basics of the English language and have very little intelligence and can't read .Learn some basic English comprehension and educate yourself a bit before making yourself look like an idiot and starting arguments .End of conversation.
