are you using php to upload to those other hosts or anyother language ?
Nothing was changed?
Anyway, just make sure you're clicking on the file link (notice "/file/" in the URL). I've been considering whether to put screenshots on the torrent contents page ("/view/" in URL) if there's only one file, but haven't got around to it yet.
Glad you've got it nonetheless!

Actually, I like TokyoTosho's lightweighted-ness, which I've somewhat tried to mimic here :)

Much more useful than popular sites like AnimeTake or AnimeFansFTW. We also get none of those resource-hungry scripts and Flash advertisements they have. I'm in-love with this site. Way to go!
could you tell me where the screenshots are for this one: https://animetosho.torrentbay.st/view/kyuubi-_fa...mp4.452877 ??
btw thanks for all your help :)
btw thanks for all your help :)
Screenshots still seem to be coming through. Some times it may fail because:
1) the image hosts are rejecting images when the script tries to upload them (this has happened a fair bit; usually due to either the connection constantly breaking or the image host is just stuffed up)
2) file couldn't be read or not recognised for some reason (should be rare)
I've randomly picked a few recent files and screenshots seem to be available. If there's a particular file you want me to look into, I can do so (though if screenshots aren't appearing, I probably won't be able to put them back up).
Thanks for the compliment :)

aren't you guys posting any screenshots these days ??
btw awesome work keeping this site updated :)

Should be fixed now. Sorry, I actually also forgot to restart the replication earlier.
It's not just you. The updates server is down unfortunately (see the Latest Updates section on the home page).
Hopefully it doesn't last long, but I can't really do much about a host issue sadly.

Erm, if I may ask, is there a problem on your end, or am I the only one for whom this delightful site is not updating...?
oh thanks, i didn't notice that you do parts on mediafire too.
many thanks admin :)

Thanks. Well, I don't have any intentions of throwing away 6+ months of work any time soon XD
That's an interesting idea, though it probably makes things even more confusing as the order can change around. Really interesting concept though!
A simple fix may be to simply default to going to the last page. Though this doesn't address any other issues.
Interesting note on the ";" issue - seems to only be affecting Megaupload.
I'm not sure if it's just me, but I can't seem to get it working correctly if I upload a file with a ";" in it - are you able to? I've even tried various sites which upload to MU as well (like MirrorCreator) but they seem to be renaming the file beforehand, rather than retaining the ";". Despite this, I do know there are files on MU which have a ";" and work properly. Weird.

Replies are threaded with chronological order.. if possible to change first comment order with all replies threaded in it... i don't know how to explain.. for example this threaded comments area started with my post (Posted by Tsubomi, 15/08/2011 01:41) it should be on first page 3rd place with all replies.. first will be (Posted by Fault, 21/08/2011 10:23) and second (Posted by Anonymous, 17/08/2011 09:28) with replies..

and so on... though i don't if its possible or how easy it for you to do... just suggestion.. take your time or its ok if you keep it like this or change it to linear structure like forums...
also i found a problem.. all Steins;Gate episodes on megaupload are uploaded with wrong name and no episode number.. i don't know if its problem from megaupload but i think it cutting name because of semi-colon. so all episodes names are Stein or [Stein or [Commie] Stein etc. each time i have to rename episode name and number in download manager first...

I think simply reversing the order will be a little confusing because replies to comments are in chronological order.
I do agree that this comment system does need some changes. I'm somewhat more with the linear structure of forums, so this hierarchical structure is new to me, and I'm seeing the various problems with it (difficult to see new replies, can even be difficult to trace what replies to what etc).

Well. thanks for replies and horizontal padding and you're right popular emails sites don't have much vertical padding for list items either. i think its alright. everything seems on place, and optimized layout looking better.
one more suggestion i have for this feedback section. (mostly for other users who will come and suggest more stuff later) whenever i visit feedback, i need to come on second page in order to check new reply. i think it will be better if you change comments order. newer first and older later.

Hmm, I'm not sure I terribly like that much vertical padding...
I've applied the horizontal one. A lot of vertical padding probably does look better on a larger monitor, but probably not so much on a smaller one. That reminds me, I should probably optimise the layout a bit better for widescreens (I personally use a small monitor, so never notice it).
Most sites do not place so much padding with list items (check GMail/Hotmail inbox listing for example), so I'm still a little reluctant.
I do value your opinion though, and thanks for going to the effort to provide it :)
If many visitors recommend it, I'll put it through.
Also thanks for the image host - I'll see if I can interface with it.

I checked with firebug.. i think with following code it's looking much better, if it's not creating problem for mobile users or overall layout.
.home_list_entry, .view_list_entry {
background-color: #F8F8D0;
clear: both;
padding: 0.7em 0.5em;
}
by the way. if imgur stop working then you can try http://minus.com .. it has API but i don't know how much it will support though.
Thanks

Seeing as you're a web designer, if you have Firebug, or similar for whatever browser you use, do you have a suggested padding?
I somewhat don't want to add too much to accommodate for mobile users (well, I guess there's not too much point in a mobile user downloading anything, but I want to keep the flexibility anyway) and generally want to have most stuff displayed on screen without the need for scrolling much.
TokyoTosho itself doesn't have too much padding either.
If you're navigating a list of things, I would imagine that keeping things relatively close together would make it easier to read, since your eyes don't have to move as much, and you don't need to scroll that often either.
I'll probably add some functionality to filter by group too, although I find that, for a lot of files, the group doesn't get picked up. The series filter works relatively well, but the group probably won't as much unfortunately.
Thanks for the suggestions so far.

- i noticed darker links right away. lot better than before and easy to read. i think there is no need to change row background colors to white/gray...
- though padding is very hard to notice. i think a little bit more would do a better job, as text distance from row borders is too small. even on the left and right.
- yeah. darkness of second row is lighter than before. looking good.
- thanks for adding different color for links is great. now they're not distracting anymore with episode title.
it would be really great if you add episode filter and also fansub filter. I wanted to download [Stein-subs] Steins Gate episodes yesterday and it was really hard to find links between horriblesubs, commie and other fansub groups...
on episode details page, fansub names are linking to websites.. i think it would be great if they link to fansub filter page and there is an extra link for [website] in braces.

Someone else also asked for ZomgUpload, so if there's enough requests by people, I may look at adding it.
Hmm, I'm not sure about changing the background to white/grey since that will affect the colour scheme here.
I've actually got my monitor's contrast set quite low, so I'm not sure if contrast really is that big of an issue though?
But anyway, I've:
- bumped the padding very slightly
- slightly made links darker
- reduced the darkness of the alternating tinge a bit
- gave the file links a slightly different colour
Is this any better?
I have also been thinking about implementing an episode filter, similar to the series filter, which may make things easier. However, there's a number of issues with episode filtering, such as batches not going to be handled, possible issues with movies/OVAs? etc.

oh i see.
well. its ok if it changed back to imageshack though i hope imgur will keep working. if i found a good image host with API. i will let you know.
also i have a suggestion. when i go to Series page. with lots of episodes from different fansub groups, its really difficult to track episodes i want. because of a bit grayish-blue colored links and yellow background rows.. so if you could improve layout to make it easy for eyes. i suggest some more padding on top and bottom of row (so text in each row can make some distance from next row) and a little bit dark blue color for links and if possible white and light gray [#eee] color for rows.
Thanks

Okay just ignore this post^..
I didn't notice at first that you also do mediafire links for files larger than 200mb.. Damn, You're awesome!!

Can you do Zomg for files > 350mb?
That's the only filehosts beside MU that support resume/pause, I really need it for my shitty 3rd world internet

Just wanted to say: it seems that I'm exceeding API limits with Imgur, so screenshots may now fall back to ImageShack if that happens.
I haven't used usaupload.net, but I can say that at least from a leecher's perspective, ZOMG Upload is a minor miracle. Blazing speeds and little to no waiting time. I personally prefer it to other filehosts, so I'd be most appreciative if you could take it into consideration...
Thanks.
I'm skipping RAWs primarily because they're so big and I'm supposing most people don't need them.
I guess it's a maybe, if I skip stuff like ISOs (though other transport streams are huge). Larger files won't do particularly well on DDL, since they'll be split into many parts. As for me, this server has somewhat limited bandwidth...
Is there a particular reason for wanting RAWs?

Very nice site! Keep up the good works!
BTW, is it possible to include RAWS?

ah ok sorry didnt know : ) yes not needed in that case : )
Cool.
Unfortunately, I can't easily manually add files here.
You're probably better off asking someone on a forum to mirror the files for you.
Apologies for not being able to really help with that.

Yeah. new screenshots are working fine now...
by the way. can i request mirrors for anime? [Rising Sun] Asu no Yoichi [720p] .. i already have episode 7 to 12.. need first 6 episodes.. you have [Rising Sun] Kuragahime and Nadia Blue Secret water here. it would be great if you add this torrent for mirrors. thanks

Okay, new screenshots should now be sent to Imgur, so hopefully it works for you.
If you have any Javascript knowledge, PHP should be easy to pick up. If not, just put the effort in and you should be able to get it :)

that is some great script you created. i want to become programmer like that. i'm web designer, can do html/css without any problem, but total newbie with php.

Damn that sucks. I can try sending new screenshots to imgur.com if it works on your end.
Tinypic doesn't have an API it seems, so I probably won't be using them unfortunately.
And yes, the script is fully automatic, including all the categorisation etc. I really can't imagine myself doing all that for every file :P

Yeah. all images. imageshack want my ISP domain to be register in order to use their free service., which i don't know how to do, and i think this same problem is with lots of other users out there. as i searched quite a while back and read some comments. also i saw few forums banned using imageshack in posts. So i think it would be really help if you use some other image hosting. (tinypic etc)
I noticed about pagination fix just after posting my comment. :)
by the way. i'm thinking since i checked this site first time.. did your script do everything automatically (downloading torrent, making mirrors and adding files and information) or you do it by manually? because it seems lot of work to post each and every file mirrors with information, screenshots etc.

Thanks for the feedback.
Screenshots still seem to be working for me. Does this happen to all images? If so, I wonder if this is an issue with ImageShack blocking you/your country or similar...
Thanks for pointing out the pagination - actually just fixed it after noticing it was broken :)

Well, keep up with the project - as they say, success is 10% inspiration and 90% perspiration, so if you keep at it, I'm sure it'll improve.
There's actually a link checker script which runs every now and then - it only checks older links though. At the moment, I think people can comment if they discover a dead link, but hopefully, the automatic link checker means that a report dead link function won't really be needed. Thanks for the suggestion nonetheless :)

there are two problems.
- when i check file details... it doesn't show any screenshot from imageshack.us.. all i can see is frog image with Error: Domain Unregistered. if you can please use some other image hosting for screenshots.

It's very useful site. i'm using this since last week and already subscribed to rss feed. thanks for providing MU/MF mirrors.
i wasnt sure if it was on purpose or not : ) thanks for fixxing : )
Unlike yours, a userbase was very important in the project i was involved with and in the end it turned out well, not as popular as it could/should have been (and is) but i was happy in the end that i was involved in my own small way from an early stage. I would agree its best to focus on development first, was kind of the point i was trying to get across by talking about my own experience : ).
I actually commented on a file just to test it out earlier becouse it didnt seem as if anyone had ussed the feature (i since found one brief conversation) and would agree its to isolated to become popular or rather a home to some kind of community. As youve siad thats not what this site needs but if you wanted such a full fledged forum would do the job much better imho. Might i suggest a report dead link feature along side the comment feature though , not so they can be fixxed as such but so at a glance users can avoid dead links (simple vote system? counter system? dead vs alive)? if its valid that is, not sure what each services file retension policys are and the likelyhood of removal.
