both of this are bad if the source is ultimately CR, i dont know much about encoding but i dont think lossy encodes can be made better by re encoding or even if some shaders or stuff makes it better i will prefer the source one more

Custom settings for TV's and Monitors require custom video to match their settings. On normal factory recommend settings highly altered video does not appear to be an improvement.
