Looks like the first season clocks in at ~33.69 GB, which is still hefty, but maybe somewhat reasonable since it's 26 episodes?

I missed the "BD" in the title, that's on me. However when comparing your encode to the source I'm seeing the same amount of banding. While transparency is appreciated you should be fully capable to produce an encode with little to no banding compared to the source, not the same amount. Make sure you're not pulling a Beatrice-Raws and setting the deband filters with values that do nothing.

May I kindly request for episodes 1 to 4 to be uploaded? Much appreciated and thank you for your hard work.

The source is over 6 GB, while my encode is close to 2GB. The source itself has more banding than the encode. I never aim for a completely artifact-free rendition, since that would almost certainly remove fine details. I’d rather accept minor imperfections and preserve the frame’s data than lose it to excessive filtering. Some residual banding is an acceptable trade-off.

Now this is moving beyond constructive feedback, so I’ll step back. Feel free to brag on your own.

You yap so much about your filtering yet you can't set up a deband filter? Your file is 50% bigger than the source but has the same video issues, why even bother?

The problem you’re referring to already exists in the source file. Since I didn’t get the BDMV, I’m unfortunately dependent on what’s available at the moment, with whatever quality it has.

There's banding on the fucking I-frames. Genuinely had to open this on vs-preview to check it wasn't like the last b-frames on the gop.

For those who plan to watch, the default sub track, Hatsuyuki subs, which are CR modified, have many spelling and grammar issues. Track 2 CR subs are good, but 4.6 seconds ahead just for eps. 867-878. Track 2 with CR subs is good for these episodes.  If someone could copy this comment and post it on Nyaa, that would be nice because it could end up helping someone out.

Looks like there are good sources available for this series so we'll add it to the queue. Beware the queue is very large so we won't be getting to it anytime soon. It also takes a lot longer to get and process sources and series this big.
