Now regarding your own encodes, the simple fact that you FILTER and "COMPRESS" is an infamy which you should be ASHAMED OF.
AV1's better than HEVC, I'll give you that, but it doesn't mean you should use it for that purpose.

Compressing alone, why not, filtering and compressing tho.. especially at the level of compression you're filtering is plain dumb : the bit of + you gave to the visuals, you take it back with the compression (and don't start giving me the "Oh but AV1 is so good you know?" crap).

I've been in this game far longer than you have, I would appreciate if you'd go back to teaching dummies how to encode AV1 on the AV1 discord channel, or keep doing buddy-buddy with those who think they almighty-know-everything.
