There are multiple ways to rip from CR, they support many devices and APIs, it just means that the way SP was using got broken, while the way some other groups wasn't broken. Not everyone uses the exact same tools and APIs, and it takes time to update the code when something changes.

Depends on the vpn. Learn to research before stating a general truth for some as fact for all vpns. For instance I use Bitdefender Total Security for firewalls and viruses but no way in hell would I use their vpns if I wanted to hide my activities. There are a couple sites I trust for info on vpns. Most I dont but the main site I trust for this info is Torrentfreak. That said dont put all your eggs in one basket. Information always changes so best to get the info from more than one site regarding vpns.

Episode 17 is actually S00E14 - [Digression Luminous Memories], batch V2 had the video from the right episode, and the wrong English audio, and V3 seems to have replaced the video with the wrong episode as well.

You will need to download episode 17 from another source unless it gets fixed in a V4.

Episode 1 was released as a special preview/premiere. The actual series hasn't officially started airing yet, but it's just listed for "2025"
