1. Translations:  Coalgirls do not create translations as a rule, but instead choose what they believe the best fansub available or use the official R1 translation.  In this case, they used the Asenshi-Doremi joint fansub translation.  Doki mostly create their own translations.  There was no CR version to use as a base for this show (no version from Horrible-Subs), so both translations are original, not modifications of a base  script.  In terms of history, Doki's translation quality has been uneven over the years: Sometimes very good, sometimes not.  Asenshi has done few projects but has a good rep, I would say.  Doremi has created original translations for most of the whole Precure series (about 450 eps over 10 years) and the Ojamajo Doremi series (200 eps).  All that said, what I would do is watch ep1 of each and see if I think one group's version is better than the other in terms of dialogue, humor, telling a story, details such as translating signs and other written materials, etc.

2. Encodes: Doki's version is about 500MB per episode.  Coalgirls version is about 1.5GB per episode so it should look better.  Whether you can see enough of a difference to be worth 3X the size is up to you.

3. Convenience: You should be able to get the whole series of the Doki version here at AT without any special push requests.  Coalgirls however has two problems: 1. The individual volumes often exceed the AT auto skip limit and have to be requested.  In fact, eps 3 and 4 of the 1080p have already been auto-skipped here and would have to be requested; 2. The last volume is often / always included only in the full series batch, which in this case will turn out to be about a 20GB push request when it is finished.  That's tough to ask for.  So getting the last few episodes often require other download resources.

4. There is one other BD version here at AT by "loligeddon".  About 500MB per episode using Asenshi-Doremi subs.  Click on the link at the top of this page to see all the AT listings:

"only 4 eps"  Only 4 eps of this season 2 BD have been released so far by anyone.  It's an ongoing project for Coalgirls and Doki.
i am not the one commented second...please let this through this admin..want to collect/watch this anime in 1080p!
coalgirls did only 4 eps, uses Asenshi-Doremi subs.
What the other anon said. Also, the second season was called MOTTO To Love Ru.

To Love Ru (26 eps)
OVAs (6 eps)
Motto To Love Ru (12 eps)
To Love Ru Darkness (12 eps)
it is the first season, Trouble comes from To Love Ru in japanese reading this becomes ToRaBuru which sounds like Trouble ,)
L -> R ; V -> B
Wouldn't this actually be the first series? I don't remember TLR Trouble getting this many episodes.
Admin, fetch! Good boy.
admin plz fetch this...
Excuse me.... Noob want to ask something.

Now that Doki releasing loliball too, from first volume, which one is better (Encode quality, Subtitle editing, etc), CoalGirls or Doki?
btw, you probably already know, but the Slayers titles that have come out in HD-BD's that I know about are the Revolution series and the Evolution-R series.
I don't know if looking at Dual-Duality's file specs as we had it would be interesting for you, but here they are.  The links most likely are long dead:

https://animetosho.torrentbay.st/file/slayers-pe...-mkv.29625

The two big differences are
1. D-D goes with 16:9 perspective, K goes 4:3
2. K file is 1.5GB, D-D is 1.1GB

The version we had was 856 x 480p.  We never got the v3 you mentioned.  Unless/Until there's a new BD HD remaster, I think the differences between DVD versions are unlikely to mean a lot or satisfy.
forgot. Anime-Supreme (576x384) is an 2007 encode, DD v3 (704x528) is 2012.
Dual audio. I would love to see a real comparison. Not the one with a-S - allegedly best by krogle's opinion, but with dual duality's.
