Hi https://animetosho.torrentbay.st/feedback#comment2583 anon, i'm from Indonesia... Very happy to respond your post

>No it's not, but the Indonesian faggots keep uploading their shitty stuff in the English category on purpose, then changing it afterwards. They're just sad penniless peasants who can't afford their own servers for uploading, so choose to exploit a site like this.

Seconding this, but, instead of "can't afford their own servers", all of that faggots just doesn't want to spend their money for it. I did search all over google for the price of a server, i think they should be able to bought it -_-

>they're (their) shitty country probably only has slow internet, which doesn't compare to the internet available in real countries like the US, UK, Sweden, France, etc.

Yeah, it's slow as fuck. Don't compare it with those big countries, even compared to another third world countries our connection speed are very very slower (I don't know if it's the slowest or not but, yes, it very slow). The corrupt government combined with greedy Internet provider are the core of our internet problem.

>you should pity the poor fools.

Nai, poor people in our country doesn't even know how to turn on a computer. I think that faggot just fool.

And for kkhendrik, sorry for his rudeness, but with Admin's comment on here https://animetosho.torrentbay.st/view/ani-bd-hen...mment22451 I think (and hope) he will stop doing that in the future, saa....

Ehm, I post a respond on below :)
I can read, and that doesn't mean someone else won't post links here if Admin wasn't/isn't going to do it. Notice i didn't ask Admin specifically, nor did i ask why they're are no links or anything like that, so repeating information that is already on the page is pretty much useless anyway. I've been coming to this site for around a year i know how it works.
Thanks. I'm in no major rush for it anyway, whenever you can that would be great.

Interesting.
How do you interact with the server? Is it basically a web interface only, where you can fetch a file then encode it? Can you select encoding parameters and the like? Do you get any form of FTP or SSH access?

I've never actually seen 'encoding only' servers before, so I'm interested. Which host provides these services?
Thanks.

it doesn't offer that unfortunately. server only for encoding purpose :(
its ok if entire file upload on Mega only possible in the future.
thanks for reply :)
i am waiting for upcoming Index Movie Endymion no Kiseki 720p from UTW and was hoping to get single Mega link for it :)

So why can't you remote upload all the parts and join them on the server? Just curious.

The splitting is somewhat aimed mitigating the issues with unreliable hosts/connections (if an upload dies, only that part needs to be re-attempted, as opposed to the entire file) and I'm not sure how well the script handles large parts, thanks to certain 32-bit limitations.
The script probably could use some fixing anyway, so I suppose it may be doable in the distant future...
We only fetch English translated anime because that's what this site is designed for and the processing server has limited capacity to process torrents.
I wouldn't mind so much if I had infinite processing power, but this isn't the case, so I have to draw the line somewhere and exclude non-English submissions unfortunately.

Thanks a lot for putting the work into providing a release. I understand that distribution can involve a number of difficulties. As much as I'd like to, unfortunately I can't help you with this, and I ask you not to attempt to abuse the system I have in place to filter out non-English submissions.

I've implemented an additional filter to somewhat exclude items which have been moved out of the English translated anime category. I can also add additional filtering using other heuristics if required, but I hope I don't have to waste my time doing this.
and now seeders:2006 leecher:1323 @6989 downloads
I won't be pulling anything *right now* as the server is somewhat backlogged at the moment.
I'll look at it when, and if, things quieten down a bit.
you can use torrent leaching site furk.net or megafiles.se
Second for direct links, please

Thanks for most of the above comments about this.
I've put in a bit of a simple heuristic which hopefully is enough to discourage the behaviour (will have to see how it turns out).
I'm not too fussed about the bandwidth usage (thanks for the concern) as long as people don't blatantly abuse it in the future. Okay, bandwidth is the reason why only one category is fetched, but if the behaviour stops, then it doesn't really matter that much.

Does anyone know why the sudden influx of non-English translated torrents? Because it doesn't appear to be just one group...

I've accepted that there'd be fakes, viruses, people using this as a torrent to DDL service or deliberate/accidental mis-postings, so I generally don't mind it much as long as it isn't a big issue. And as we're a fairly small, not widely known, site, actions targeted explicitly to AT doesn't happen too often.
To be honest, I really have more interesting things to tend to than to eradicate the site of stuff that probably shouldn't be here. But of course, if people decide to blatantly abuse the script, then they're essentially forcing me to block them.

I somewhat fear AT becoming more widely known - it basically is one way to invite abuse. Fortunately I've managed to keep us low key enough for a while.

@Admin: can you disable splitting for Mega? :)
i mean don't do part1, part2 when uploading. upload mkv as it is as one Single Mega link.

this will allow me to generate Mega Premium Link from here > www.generatorlinkpremium.com for Anime Movies
i can then remote upload file to my Encoding server in just few mins :)
its not a problem downloading .001 & joining mkv. problem is when uploading mkv from my Computer.
if i start uploading 2GB Movie from my Computer, it will take almost 3 days to complete upload :(
only if connection doesn't break in middle of it which it usually does break every 4-6 hours. :(
i live in crap country that can never offer decent internet connection anyway :(

if its ok with you, please upload on Mega without any parts :)
Mega doesn't have upload file size limit.

If you're feeling generous (which is really awesome of you!), I'd rather you donate to the many out there more deserving, such as:
- fansub groups which ask for it
- file hosting sites (okay, maybe they can survive themselves via ads, but ones like AnonFiles could probably use your help)
- those involved with producing the anime in the first place (though arguably these studios seem to be fairly profitable already)
- other charitable groups

I could accept donations and just route them to the above, but I really don't see the point and don't want to have to manage this.

I also thought about that 1st option of yours. I don't really mind all these non-english stuff but I hate how they are being too cocky. Hopefully, we'll hear from admin soon.

Non-English-Translated Anime: Two Suggestions

Admin's goal has been to have an automated anime site that required no human moderators and little supervision.  And it's been a huge success.  But the current automation relies on some good will and can be defeated by those who want to (if you blocked "Lulu-Subs" then you get "Lulu-$ubs" then "Lulu-Sub$, etc.).

If admin wants to limit this site to English-translated anime (which I don't know that he does or doesn't):

1. The most fool-proof automation I can think of would be the criterion itself -an automated system that samples the ass subtitles file and does a language-detect, similar to how Google-Translates does.  Possible?  Difficult?  I don't know.  No doubt difficult at best.

2. Rely on external non-self-reported filters such as Nyaa's Trusted category.  We'd lose a lot of anime offerings that way, but keep the main listings.  It would cut down on link generation needs in a big way, which admin might welcome.  Current programs by main-stream fansubs is more than enough of a load by itself anyways.  I think this is the best solution, if a solution is needed.  Too bad though.

Of course, if various groups want to show they can defeat admin's intentions, he might eventually agree that an automated site can't be done after all, and pull the plug on AT completely.  Who knows that he wouldn't?

Despite anyone's discomforts with Non-English listings, this is admin's party alone.  Whatever he wants is fine and we are grateful.

Either admin is not around or is looking for a way to fix this shit. It's really going out of hand.
Where's the admin at to deal with this?

AT appears to be getting flooded with non-English material right now.  This may pass.  As a temporary measure, users can set the Nyaa filter at the top of the homepage to A+/Trusted to find English-translated downloads, or download only from known groups, or check the ass files before downloading.

Offered as a help for now, not a solution.
