It's a fair complaint, but the size isn't because of the tools.  Instead, hopefully most people can now find the file sizes or quality that fits what they want by choosing lower resolutions like 480p, or by looking for "mini-mkv" groups that convert 720p programs to about 100MB file sizes.  Here's one such website in my bookmarks, if you're interested:

There's an "[adult swim]" watermark on the preview pictures, so at 360p probably an early webcast before cable broadcast.  But 671MB for a 360p 22minute single episode?  That might be a record of some kind.

They are using the hearts and tongues of cute little kittens to encode quality videos, for bad quality videos nowadays usually a potate is used. :E

It's called encoding for quality, rather than sacrificing it for small filesizes.

What are people using to make the videos these days? can't help but notice that the files are getting bigger and bigger as time moves on and that's making it harder to download because of these giant sizes.

Yeah, i did watch both of them too, Mezashite is better for me.

I just muxed IB's attachment to Mezashite's release tho :p

While waiting for links I watched ep2 by IB, then Mezashite, then IB again (slow links...).  I believe that Mezashite understood the intended humor better.  They certainly delivered more and better punchlines.  IB's version of ep2 seemed awkward in many places.  Mezashite's version was far more entertaining, and their take on things made more sense to me.
