Quoting Tibbs: "BTW forgot to mention that there is no Jheberg links as the site disabled uploads (they're in the process of updating their servers - to a new version, I hope that it doesn't break the bots script (it more than likely will))."

Admin, where is Jheberg?
Close your eyes and count to 1000, slowly.
Once you have done that, press the refresh key and wait 5 seconds before opening your eyes again.

You only seeing a Multiupload link is merely an illusion.
Unfortunately we're fairly tied to TokyoTosho and Nyaa.
Maybe see if you can get the torrent accepted on one of those sites.

Hope that helps.

It looks like they've changed their site, so broke the uploader.
I'll need to get around to updating the Jheberg uploader :/

Thanks for pointing it out!
I'd hardly call it stupid to be honest. You sound like you're fairly well informed already and I'm not sure I can really say anything particularly insightful.

Bilinear happens to be the most commonly used resize filter (outside of the anime fansubbing community). I've never used debilinear, but if it does what it says, it would presumably restore the "original" image more accurately (note, "restore" isn't necessarily the same as "better perceived quality") than other resampling methods... assuming that the original was upscaled using bilinear (which probably isn't a bad guess).
Spline36 would be better for generic resizing.

The two methods would probably look a bit different but it would be difficult to say which is exactly better. I checked the screenshots posted at Nyaa: to me, the debilinear'd version looks sharper but has a bit more noise. You could probably get a similar effect by applying an unsharp mask, or some other sharpen filter, over the spline36 version, if you prefer the sharper lines.
Okay I lie, the text in the debilinear version does look better (but it looks about the same when I add an unsharp mask to the spline36).

Personally I'd stick with spline36 or similar and apply a sharpen filter, or use a sharper scaler (eg spline64), mainly because it seems safer. Then again, I've never used debilinear, so take this with a grain of salt.
Pointless conclusion: At the end of the day, whatever appeals to you.

I can't explain the size difference though. If the mediainfo is correct, the encoding settings seem to be the same. I can see the noiser 2nd version being larger, but I wouldn't expect the difference to be that big. Of course, this is just a wild guess/hunch without actually seeing the video itself.

The fansubbing community is probably one of the most thorough and critical bunch of people, in regards to releases, out there. It's perhaps a bit surprising if you think about the fact that anime is probably more difficult to release than, say, US TV.
This thoroughness is a good thing, as it means we get good quality stuff. Some issues come out of it though, such as going over the top or nitpicking things, but I think it's ultimately not really an issue to be able to get what we can get.
can we have a DDL on this release? I have all farfie release for this season and I don't want to dl another sub group except farfie :(

An overweight NEET male sits at his laptop, within this parent's basement. He opens the feedback tab in animetosho and proceeds to educate a leecher who wants a file. "Don't get RUELL's encodes delicio.us is gonna be wayyy better".

Suddenly, a trophy falls from the sky. The NEET has done it. He is the most renowned video encoding expert in the entire internet. A choir of angels writes a hymn exalting its superiority to the rest of humanity.
Admin, I have a question so stupid I'm doing it anonymously.  This guy produced 2 versions of this movie, using 2 different methods to interpolate a value for the quarter pixel movement: Spline and  Debilinear.  People on Nyaa are talking as if debilinear (which I assume is like a simple arithmetic average) is better than the the far more elegant curve-fitting of a spline procedure.  How could that be?  It is overkill, or somehow not the best interpolation value?

In the end, he produced a version which is 1GB bigger and looks better: Not a mystery when bigger looks better.

I think people on Nyaa are nuts.  I think I'll still think so even if I'm wrong here.

It was showing that he should not post such info carelessly.I suspect it was false info and would never have been posted if it was believed to be real. The previous links suggest he's disliked in the community he uses and deserves to be talked to without respect or manners.
Thanks. I wish you had 194-195.
