I have both MPC-HC and Klite-MPC and there is no difference than the Klite-MPC is a lot more customizable during setup as well as Klite-MPC having a tweak tool and a lot more options included with the install pack. Both are updated frequently Klite-MPC updated nearly every week and MPC-HC updated every 2 to 3 weeks. Other than that they are basically the player is same and comes down to preference. MPC-HC is basically just the player without all the other things. MPC-HC  v2.4.1 exe is 21.3mb.  Klite-MPC v18.8.5 exe is 63.7mb. So basically if you need the smaller file size to save space or just don't want the extra stuff go with MPC-HC. If space isn't an issue and you want extra options you may or may not use then go with Klite-MPC.

When I have unwanted issues with default tracks I just modify the headers and don't look back.

There a several ways to rig overloaded track selection.

1) MPC-HC - Options - Internal Filters - Splitter - Subtitle Selection Mode - Advanced.
There is a link to syntax manual, but you probably want either "*:eng|d;*:eng" or "*:eng|n;*:eng" (without qoute marks).

2) MPC-HC - Options - Subtitles - Misc - Ignore Embedded Subtitles.
Autoload folder is set on the same page. Relative path to subfolder near the video begins with a dot, absolute paths begin with a drive letter.
Extract the track you want (e.g. using "Inviska MKV Extract") into any autoload folder.

3) MPC-HC - Options - External Filters - Add - ffdshow raw video filter, after adding double click it for settings - Show / hide filters - Subtitles, where you can add another autoload folder for a secondary track, e.g. in another language.

There are sometimes subtitle tracks that look unreadable in either internal renderer or ffdshow, due to overengineered effects, or bad colors, or not playing well with font overrides and going offscreen, so you can swap chosen tracks between their autolad folders. I like to override subtitles half-transparent, for example. YMMV.

Thanks this really helped. Though I swear its a pain in the butt getting all my settings and stuff right again. I think i got them all but now the only problem is subtitle management. Like, I was talking to a friend about a scene in Lucky Star and I went to the episode in question, and I see that by default, its the subtitles for if I watch it subbed instead of dubbed. on the Subtitle list this is the 2nd option whereas the Signs/Songs subtitle option is first. With the old MPC-HC, I could just go into the options, playback, and under Default Track Preference, I could just put the number 1 in both the Subtitle and Audio boxes, and by default it would make whatever audio or subtitles that are at the top, the default choice, but now it doesnt do that. I've look everywhere in the options but i cant find how to make a specific Subtitle or audio the default because all 3 subs and considered "eng" so it wont change it

Is the storage server down or something? I can't download the subtitle file for some reason.

I suppose that would highlight something, but I'm not sure it'd help with accidentally selecting the wrong link?
Regardless, a different colour might be difficult with the theming system here unfortunately.

On an individual ep page for this batch the links nearer to the middle of the screen are the audio only ones so it catches your eye first. Having them on less file hosts is really useful because I notice via that.

It's strange as when I'm actively seeking out audio only I have to crtl+f.

I'm assuming more people would be interested in downloading full compared to audio only. Maybe put all audio only links in a drop-down menu like you have for multiup. Click/touch to expand. Hyperlinks are what they are going for so now only video only hyperlinks is visible. Audio only guys must be the more 'reader' types so they can open the drop-down menu.

Edit: Screenshots are probably grabbing attention and the download links closer are that of audio. Audio download links row can be replaced with video download links row. This aligns with how download links are on front pages and torrent content listing pages, closest to filenames. Audio row can now go below subtitle row. For additional highlighting maybe put [audio] in hyperlink like we have [ass] for subtitles. Just some suggestions.

Girls Band Cry / TogeToge has extremely loyal fanbase, it's not the usual fetch-and-forget title. Yesterday was the in-anime birthday of a relatively minor character yet over 100 new fanart were posted on Pixiv /...boruu / Twitter.

Girls Band Cry is a rock music themed anime and takes the music part seriously, so it makes sense to 100% preserve the soundtrack. (Mercifully, all songs performed in-anime are 90sec short versions, except one, because the vocalist Nina is quite an unsufferable character and so listening to full versions could have worn the the viewers' nerves.)
Anyhow GBC is an addictive comedy-drama-yuri-CGDCT-3D-CGI watch and well worth the time.

FYIY, the real-life band "Togenashi Togeari" of Girls Band Cry franchise will perform in the USA during Anime Expo's J-pop Sound Capsule event on 2025 July 03:
