I've noticed other files without an "&" sign in the title that disappeared from GoFile in less than a day. It must be for other reasons than any symbols in the title.

Not an encoder, but going from what I've picked up from hanging around in encoding circles: People believe that its a fake rescale, or in other words that they used an incorrect algorithm to downscale the anime back to its native resolution before upscaling it with a better upscale algorithm

For a mathematically correct downscale, you need to properly match the kernel used by the studio to upscale the anime to 1080p.

If you want the specifics of how it works, you'll have to ask some encoders though.

Other releases, including the MiniMTBB one seem to be fine, at time of writing, so I don't think your theory holds. I haven't noticed any abnormality with this file during the upload process, so it's possible that this was just removed by Gofile.
