Depends, if I'm on the computer, I'll do one of:
- watching my release if the source had haloing and I tackled it ;
- watching the source with MPV Deband on otherwise.
If I'm on the go, it's my release either way. I'd say it's about 1/3 source, 2/3 release.

It seems like it's marked as episode 3 on AniDB, so it'll need to be fixed there unfortunately.

I had a look at these supposed 4k rips and they encode absolutely all the noise and grain out of it to make it save as much space as possible. The end result is this over sharpened mess of rainbow coloured lines and blurs.

Genuine question, why do some people insist on watching anime upscaled to 4K? What visual benefit does it offer? No anime is natively produced at 4K, and most 4K upscales provided by streaming services or Blu-ray are garbage that fucks with lines and fine details.

Literally just get a 1080p file from Crunchyroll or a good BD encode and let your TV (or PC) handle it. Seeking out files that are pre-upscaled to 4K is just unnecessary bloat and almost always will look worse than just letting your device/player do the scaling.
