Please…8 bit HEVC releases from next time.

BTW any possibility of One Punch man? Have heard good things about that one…

I guess the only way to break this deadlock is to make dual releases. One with 8 bit HEVC and another with 10bit x264. Fine, I’ll do it =P. Let me take your first request up (FSN UBW). Ranma was the last 8-bit request I ever intended to take. You know, I’m running DBZ v2 (x264 10-bit) at under 1.5 FPS - around 7 hours encoding time per episode (multiplied by 291 episodes). That’s virtually half a year to put out just one show. The least you guys can do is to reciprocate that effort by hooking up your PC / Laptop for HDTV 10-bit viewing =P. You’re going to miss out on the “bestest everest” version of DBZ (that blows everything else out of the water) unless you do this =P (there’s already our 8-bit v1 if you want it).

10bit encoding is clearly superior to 8bit, helps the colours and helps battle banding, amongst other things. An 8bit release will always be the inferior version but oh well, if everyone’s happy =P

Oh thank you so much.

FSN UBW is the ultimate anime, Please do an encode that will enable me to watch it its full glory!

Coming to why I don’t wanna connect HDMI…

Thing is I am one hell of a peculiar quality freak. You see…When I watch using HDMI I fear, I might hear the sounds of laptop’s processing. I might see some glowing lights on my laptop. You see not only I want quality off video but also a viewing experience.

between 8 bit and 10-bit, 8 bit it seems like a good trade off on my metrics…

My 55" 4k TV shows its supports HEVC, Main10 (I thought 10 here referred to 10 bit but I guess not)
DBZ Super encode by dorian was playing in it but it couldn’t decode true HD audio. But the video, oh boy…it was so flawless.

I tried playing [DB]My Love Story!! but it couldn’t play the video

It is what made me realize my TV can play HEVC but only 8 bit ones…

Coming to DBZ, I hope you are using level sets for the first season. And lets just say I truly appreciate it( perhaps the entire DBZ fandom does too) and I will download it.

When in future there will be a TV which can play 10-bit, I will definitely enjoy it on that along with my kids.

Yes, the Level Sets are very much a part of the plan, as are the movies & extras. I’ll be done with the Season Sets first and put the Level Sets out as a bonus. I have a 55" 4K TV too, and while the initial set-up with the HDMI cable and laptop is extremely annoying, it’s just mind-blowing once it starts to play.

It should all be done by June-July. I’ll put the torrents out saga-wise - http://ultradragonball.wikia.com/wiki/List_of_sagas . I’m already finished with the Saiyan Saga (and 3 Leaves, 3 Colours) but Tri’s AWOL, hopefully he’ll pop in soon.

Thank you so much. I’ve been wanting to make a big passion project based partially on the troubled production of Miss Hokusai for so long now. Really looking forward to going over this again :)
