Disclaimer:
DVDHD is about re-encoding DVD rips from anime that have not been released in HD or Blu-ray into a version that attempts to have a cleaner and sharper look like digitally animated or remastered HD releases. The process involves de-noising and some digital filters. Yes, some detail will be lost. Yes, the DVD rips are not high-bitrates like you’d find with HD or Blu-ray. Therefore the result will not be perfect. If you prefer anime in its native, cell animated look with original grain, by all means, do not download DVDHD’s version. If you want to watch an anime that has not been released in HD as a version that emulates HD, then the DVDHD version may be for you. Enjoy

If I can’t process a DVD the right way, after many failed attempts, why even try. You’re better off just uploading the DVD as a remux. (untouched, no additions added) That way people can decide what to do with the DVD themselves. Some people really want access to to this content, and it’s being destroyed unfortunately.

Lol. I checked right now and there are at least 8 different Trigun seeded and active torrents on this website with the original grain just on this site. I haven’t destroyed anything. Everyone relax. Take a chill pill. You all make it seem like I deleted every other version available, including your personal physical copies.

Thanks. I’ll be the first to say DVDHD’s releases are not for everyone. But some do not like the “old” look of some anime. If you’d rather watch these anime in “HD” then give DVDHD a try. Download it and check it out. They look better in big screen TV at a normal distance. You don’t like the result? Delete it. NP

With all the filters resulting in thick heavy line art and a loss of detail this is a perfect release if you ever need to watch Trigun on your 1" smartwatch.
Seriously, wtf? I don’t have anything against trying to “HD” an old release but this is definitely not the way to go. Want to get rid of the grain? Use Neat Video like JPDSR does. Thin that line art when upscaling. Boost the colors and contrast a tiny bit. Then maybe you’ll find people who’ll enjoy such a “remaster”. But this? I don’t even know who is this for. High definition lovers will hate it, purists will hate it, people who don’t give a shit about quality because they’re on 1Mbit lines will hate it… An abomination.
