Coming back from a long pause. working on Ryuusei no Rockman after the original upload of Rockman.EXE Movie.

I haven’t gotten too far but I have actually done some OCR and misc fixes for the first 10 episodes. I’d love to compare notes, maybe even colab if that’s fine with you. And oh shit I didn’t realize there were webrips, I somehow missed that. Initially I was thinking I would just do the OCR -> ASS and then use some AI techniques to fix some of the TV rip issues by training a model on Beast/Beast+. Having higher quality raws is a damn blessing.

I got the core down for myself at this point on my side, and in one evening, I’m done working on episodes 2-3 (up shortly). There’s a French fansub group that already did until 14 of Ryuusei, but rework might be done as we move ahead. I’m unsure if Beast has been picked up, but Beast+ is actively being worked on by IHP, and they completed 25-51 on their side as well. Last, but not least, Rockman.exe has been done from 1-19 by STE, and I’ve approached EruPii (the awesome raw provider of these awesome sources) to OCR ep 20 and onwards and start working on those as well.

I’ve already noticed a few major mistakes I made in the karaoke opening (typo + missing line + early translation vs late translation), I will will fix those up and re-upload a v2 in a new batch with new episodes together. I will see if I am available tonight (unsure yet) as I got personal things to do, and several new season animes to watch. :P
