The second arc of Digimon Tamers, dubbed over raw, in extended cinematic format, with Matroska chapters. Since you guys HATED the capitalized subs, they haven’t been muxed in with this release, and will instead be available as downloadable ASS, SRT and PGS files. For the individual episodes/Remastered Cut (volumes 3 and 4), the subs will be muxed in.

What went into this release:

  1. Scene cuts and transitions according to the English DVDs
  2. Removal of the eyecatch, despite the JPBD opening and ending being there for nostalgia purposes
  3. A f*ckton of rotoscoping
  4. Upscaling of rotoscope text overlays from the US DVDs to match the JPBD. This was done, for example, for the Matrix Digivolution text and Analyzer text, but also in one case where Yamaki was looking up some info on his computer. Special thanks to my buddy BFT who took out the time to make sure everything matches correctly for a seamless experience that can directly translate to a proper USBD-like experience when transferred to the Remastered Cut
  5. Digivolution grid and SDR colour grading of the same to match the style of the JPBDs (again, for a seamless USBD experience)
  6. Matroska chapters! Love 'em or hate 'em, they’re here to stay
  7. For the subs (included separately), the Hulu dubtitles were edited from EDAtribe’s EDAC GitHub, and retimed and combined together to make a coherent whole
  8. Encoding! The supercut was created as a 1080i Grassvalley file in Resolve Studio (as the JPBDs are interlaced), and then deinterlaced and encoded in Hybrid. 200 gb Grassvalley/Canopus HQ master file —> 10 gb encode
  9. Episode 15 contained audio blips/glitches in the Exiled-Destiny version. The source of the problem was traced back to the DVD remuxes, which were used as a base for all DVD encodes. The DVD audio was patched using the TVrip audio from Jetix, for the problematic areas, for a seamless experience

@holyboredom lol thanks for the appreciation. I had actually been sitting on this for a while, and thought I could speedsub it. Only when Christmas passed that I realized that I could always do the subs later, and people had been complaining about them anyway. As for ‘returning’, irl stuff got in the way, but I think I’ve figured out how to balance everything with encoding Digimon now.

P.S.: If you open the linked website (A Certain Digidude’s Index of Digitastic Releases) there’s also a link to our Discord server. As always, you and any other Digimon fans are welcome there ^_^

@MagnusOzi, I’ll see if I can reseed it, but in the meantime I can hotlink a Google Drive DDL on the DigiDudes index. Will take time though.

thx @thecharioteermode

Just found your uploads and really liking it!
You plan on uploading the entirety of Digimon Tamers in one torrent once you’re done encoding the entire season?

Yes, I do, @HeroAnki! Also, it’s my partner BFT who is doing all the heavy lifting of the encoding tasks.
