[zman] Dr. Slump (1997) 01-06

Somebody had to do it, right? Here’s the TubiTV scripts retimed to a fresh encode of the DVDs for the Dr. Slump remake from 1997.

Kind of a mess timing-wise, with the original timings accounting for sponsor cards and sometimes extra black between segments. That was easy enough, but the next episode previews are sometimes shortened for syndication. Episode 3, for example, is missing a few lines in the NEP. I have a feeling the timings were based on European closed captioning – maybe the German dub. But then changed to 24 fps because the Tubi staffer wasn’t getting paid enough for this shit. The DVD video is also delightfully inconsistent, with slightly different framing and timing between episodes and lots of odd artifacts from that era where workflows were swapping back and forth between analogue to digital.

Feel free to report any errors. I haven’t watched every episode yet, but I’ll check them all thoroughly before I batch it with fixes.
