Do you like cute, fun Ghibli-like adventures in a fantasy world? Of course you do. Join Riko and Reg as they journey down in the Abyss, a mysterious giant whole where all sorts of fantasy creatures live, in search of Riko’s mother. Numerous fun adventures await inside the Abyss, a worderful world filled with tons of creatures and plants… that all want to kill you. This ain’t no fun adventure, this is a journey of survival where even the slightest mistake can cost your your life. And you will die screaming.

This is one of the best shows that has aired in a long time but let me tell you this ain’t for everyone. The Abyss is a world of cruelty and desperation. You might think you are ready to see these cute kids suffer, but you are not. You have been warned.

Subtitles are by [scum] who do excellent work. I hear they have some sort of bot. That’s cool.

Because he’s encoding with a medium preset and also maybe without filters. That takes 10min for one episode.
When you use at least veryslow/placebo (or instead of presets some high-tier settings) + some filtering - it can went up to 2-6h per episode.

Thanks Dmon, haven’t seen this anime yet. All I know is talk with some similarities to Shoujo Shuumatsu.

@eXmendiC Impossible for it to be 10 min. Even with low ref, me range and bframes according to mediainfo episode 1 and just a spline36, nneedi16 or something like that resizer and depending if he uses the pc while encoding it would take longer as is pc has 3 threads like mine which is slow as hell for encoding and if more filters are used it’ll increase the time. Correct me if I am wrong Dmon. I hope you at least use very slow 'cuz CRF15 is a win for me.

It’s possible, but as you said it depends on the hardware. I just said it, because if I leave everything default it only takes about 10 minutes (I encode my wraws like that).
However, I have a special PC for encoding with threads=22 / lookahead_threads=5. I haven’t locked up what DmonHiro uses.

@eXmendiC At your end with that much threads I don’t doubt your words but correct me if I am wrong but it seemed you were referring to Dmon’s encode settings in which I have no clue if he told you that or not but it is impossible for it to be around 10 mins for the entire 24 min span, there’s just no way as I too have that many threads with my pc and do encoding. I do NOT recommend downloading this torrent. The subtitles look like garbage because they don’t have Scum’s nice-looking formatting. There is also no distinguishable quality from Scum’s encode since this is 720p.

might as well just read the transcript of every ep instead of watch this
