The first is helpful and informative. The second is insulting, uninformative and adds a bunch of info which does nothing to help. Try posting like the first example.

You said 'misinformed' not 'unsure'. The former describes one that is 'sure' but of something incorrect. Someone misinformed has little motivation to research anything, especially from an antagonistic reply.
