The only legitimate option Japan has is to cull the population. Either that or sedate a bunch of them and find a new home for them some place off the island. There are far to many bears on that island and not enough game prey. Bears are omnivores but most wont just live off vegetation alone. If they do nothing they will continue to kill cattle and people. Killing cattle may not seem like a big deal but they are killing a lot of them and that brings them around people and the bears smell the food in the homes making chance of people dying higher

Its disrespectful to the dead in Japan but people will find comedy in anything. There is a video of one running top speed at a vehicle and attacking it to to kill the driver. They are tons of killing cattle and breaking into homes and killed a bunch of people for food. One man-eater was hunted and killed last year but now there are more. The fact that they cant even have rifles in the rural areas isn't helping the. Article said they try to screw them off with firecrackers but the bears aren't scared of them.
