If you need an DDL for an old torrent here just post the url to its details page, for example https://animetosho.xyz/view/278 , at https://ntfy.sh/cc5u3vp5u and my automation script will push it to multiUp. The only requirements are enough seeders and that the torrent is below 10GB. More info at: https://animetosho.xyz/feedback?page=44#comment956 (this started as a project to fill the DDL gap between old and new AT but i am letting the script run now cause its working so nice)

On a sidenote, I already don't like labelling "OG" before referring to animetosho.torrentbay.st.

They are not "accepting" those uploads. Just the filter is not there. They are using NekoBT's main RSS, and filtering only based on group names. OG AnimeTosho used the nekoBT RSS with params to only give eng-subbed results.

The "new AT" at animetosho.xyz is accepting japanese-only video uploads, which lack any subtitle or dubbing in a foreign language. That was not the case with the original AT.
It says "invalid code, 2fa not enabled". I'm not sure what's wrong on my end. But I still can use the site, it's not a big deal really.

Yes, 2FA works. It has been tested with some apps like 2FAS Auth, Bitwarden and Aegis, but it should theoretically work with any other Time-based OTP Authenticator.
Hi, is the 2FA in account's setting usable? I tried to use that but the site keep saying "failed" everytime. I changed to different auth apps but still not successful.
Yeah, it's nothing new in anime piracy scene, it's not the first time someone try to replicate the original and certainly won't be the last. I usually avoid them because they're always inferior. Many great sites exist not only this one.
Respectfully, If someone has the time to complain the "color" of your site, they surely have the time to go to the site with their "favorite" design and "color". In the end, It's just matter of preferences which is really subjective.

This is exactly why I say you're such a cool person.

Everyone has the right to nitpick and complain, and everyone has the right to ignore other opinions. I am happy to get any feedback as long as they stay respectful, which "Anon" clearly was, so I have no issues.
Eh they're just nitpicking, tomorrow they'll complain about something else. You can't please everyone. I'm glad your site continue what the original Anime Tosho had been doing. o7
Like I said I have other sites to use. I will look in every now and then.

The god awful pink was totally a intentional choice, it won't change anytime. Themes as a feature may appear someday, but I won't say anything about when.
dunno, to me it looks fine, I still can tell the difference between shows. I can only think this might become a problem for users with small monitors. If you're looking a for "simple" site there's animetosho.xyz for you.
I will only mention my complaints: IMHO home page is visually too busy, the show cover pic on the left is a waste of space as the image is too small to really make out details and some shows look like another one, the show cover pic takes enough space that you can't fit as many shows on the same page like there is here and the god awful pink tint is way too much for me. There are some things I do like about the site but the visual distractions will keep me using other sites.

Please never allow anon comments, I don't want your site to become another "Anime Tosho". You seem like a cool person. Thank you very much.

I agree that it can seem heavy with JS/images, considering the entire frontend is in Next.js and full of images, but it was optimized enough for it to run without any issues on modern browsers even with 3rd world internet speed.
I believe the new generation prefers streaming sites over torrents and other options, cuz they look boring, old and not that user-friendly. In the era where it is easy to do great UI & UX, I think we should do it where it can enhance the interest considering most people use modern browsers now. Even with good UI, I have easy to use API too for power users, so I don't think I am taking anything away.

To be fair, it happens a lot in this field. A prime example being Nyaa.si, or various streaming sites that shutdown and a bunch of clones popping up to leverage the name. As it seems to work (in terms of getting traffic), I expect it'll keep happening.
I suppose one thing that can be inferred is that by reusing the name, they intend to replicate much of the functionality/spirit.
Though somewhat heavy with JS/images for my tastes too, and I don't like when content only loads through JS, it has a lot of nice features I like and would probably continue using.
Not sure how old we are talking, but everything I tried works in latest Palemoon, although some fonts look ugly or too thin and unreadable unless you zoom in. Better in latest Firefox or a Chrome-based browser, like Vivaldi, at no zoom and 100% DPI. Not a problem for me to switch around several browsers for various things.
Anyone who has an actual problem with it can request a fix for their problem, e.g. here if they can't post there.
so far Tsukihime works pretty good for my setup. Some people say the site is heavy but to me it's an upgrade of Anime Tosho not just a copy or lookalike.
What the above said. Tsukihime(org) and Animetosho(xyz) are the 2 main alternatives/repacement, unless more decides to appear, but keep in mind both sites are still WIP.
After seeing alternatives, maybe no one can really replace Anime Tosho Beta. I'm trying Tsukihime and AmeNZB for now. Those two are the closest thing to Anime Tosho Beta.
Yeah the code's a bit shabby, but glad it sparked your interest nonetheless. I was hoping it would encourage development on the front, so it's good to see efforts like yours take the idea and improve on it.
Thank you for making this site, I'll be using your site since Anime Tosho NEW doesn't include fonts and chapters. I mainly use NZB so your site is a lifesaver.
The design is pretty cool, I can tell you put a lot effort into this site. One thing I personally like is that you can see whether a release group is a fansub or not. That's amazing.
