Donations never mention a specific number, just sending 25c is enough to help.
It not the first time it happens yameii disappears for week of two and there is no official statement yameii usually posts.
how much is needed in donations for Yameii to continue?

They did a few 720p releases, but they aren't great (much like their 1080p ones)

Thought AEOG was there for there hightest quality, go check on andb, there is 720p release from ghost.
As for my previous question, a simple "not from me" would do.
They only did the highest resolution possible for all of their releases.
Well i you call VARYG and Erai-raws "consistent", good for you i guess.

Any chance to te see 720p of any GHOST releases?
I thought they were but after reading the other comments I am questioning if they ever will.
I do hope so cause their releases were always really good quality.
CR recently switched to 192 kb/s for their audio so all new CR releases from Yameii have been that from then on
Who said I was bitching? I only see other people asking for when they will return. Not me.
There are a couple of groups that do it in dual audio, take your pick.
"If it gets to be too much, that's entirely self-inflicted on their part.
Also, I don't need to rely on those groups."

Then don't bitch when a group calls it quits.

Does anyone know of a good different account that posts English Dubs? I used to download every single upload from Yameii.
Made less than $10 cause they can't afford to keep going LMAO.
You really don't need to keep the torrent alive for ever, a week is fine on a seedbox. If it's popular it will continue to be seeded. There is never an expectation of "forever" on public trackers.
If it gets to be too much, that's entirely self-inflicted on their part.

Also, I don't need to rely on those groups. I have my own subscriptions and I am tech-literate so I've already figured out how to rip stuff myself, and how to automate the process.
Yup, while those that gripe about some asking for donations they ignore releasers that seed from home and as soon as it has been grabbed 1 or 2 times they quit seeding and then people complain about lack of seeds.
Seedboxes are a must if you really are into it.
Yameii has been at it for awhile now and sometimes it just becomes not worth it so others can get their "free" stuff.
They should learn how to rip the stream and pay for their own subscriptions.
I sometimes rip a stream for an ep I may have missed and it falls into the free watch category, that is if the seeds are dead..
> I don't care if a release group buys seedboxes and more subscriptions and VPNs and other shit, and tries to rely on donations as a crutch for that.

Then don't complain when the group finally calls it quits. Sometimes it gets to be a bit too much.
How do you know he earned more than $10?
Just an assumption.
Maybe for a box with very small storage space. Groups like Yameii, Erai etc need large storage space and it costs money.
Also those cheap seedboxes usually have crappy speed.
Eating the expenses because you WANT to do it is the right approach.

I don't care if a release group buys seedboxes and more subscriptions and VPNs and other shit, and tries to rely on donations as a crutch for that. THEY ALONE should be shouldering those costs if they want to purchase those things. Don't try to pressure your community members to pay for these things for you. That is called being greedy.

If the cost got too much for them to handle, that sounds like a skill issue on their part and they should've gotten a better-paying job to accommodate.
Erai is consistent, what are you talking about? Also, we have VARYG too.
Seedboxes are $10, people expect to make money like it' a job from doing this.

Thanks for fetching this!
Nah, I wouldn't call it that. It also depends on one's budget. Many here won't pay for a VPN or a seedbox.
I was a releaser for several years but I didn't take donations. I ate the expenses because it was something I wanted to do.
Expenses like my seedbox (still have it), sometimes I spent money on physical BDs.
Now groups like Yameii etc beside a seedbox that keep growing in storage size as time goes on and have expenses like monthly subscriptions to CR etc.
Think about it, for Yameii one season (12 eps) is about 16gb, now times this by 100 shows (seasons) and you are way over 1.5tb in seedbox space.
As time passes a persons IRL needs change: income, spare time and even loss of interest.
Groups come and go in the anime piracy scene whether it be for personal, financial or threat of lawsuits reasons.
Well, someone must be paying for the service, now we have only the [Erai-raws] with his inconsistent rips.
Torrent servers aren't free.
Of course, donations pay for the torrent servers. Internet isn't free; also funded by donations.
Very scummy if true. Imagine illegally ripping copyrighted material from streaming sites with the expectation of getting paid for it, and then quitting because you got upset that you weren't getting donations. Good riddance IF this is indeed the case.
Where did get the information from? Did Yameii made an announcement about it?

Too much hassle and a huge waste of limited resources. First is the amount of storage space needed to keep the files (hundreds of TBs) then there is all that re-upload time when he is busy with the new files that come in every day.
Use NZB or IRC or God forbid 'torrents' if you want older stuff.
Show up at least once a week if you want the current stuff before the links die.

Update: I just realized the file actually has two audio tracks in one. I didn’t notice it at first because I only played it directly, and only one track was audible. Later, I used a tool similar to MKVToolNix and was able to extract the English track successfully.
I second that request, if at all possible.

That's right, 99.99% of animetosho are dead links or useless trash.
