A registered account on datanodes.to has unlimited storage compared to the free tier (while both are non deletion). Still I am not sure about them. If they DMCA hard, it's not worth it. But I am the same opion as you. Uploading to Akirabox doesn't really offer any big benefit if it's used with a "visitor" account.
That's why I recommeded the free premum deal eather from akirabox or vikingfile/ (datanodes) to have the files for as long as possible. Websites like gamedrive.org use them and it seems to work fine.

No, uploads are done anonymously, in other words, no account is used.
In general, accounts are not used for any file host upload.

Pixeldrain was used in the past until they blocked our uploads.
