I think the filter is as simple as skipping if it has it been fetched before which these Tenchi ones have not.

Video is the same as the source => 0mn.
Audio filtering + Subtitle making => 30min to 1h.

If it's encoding that fast he's likely using GPU to encode or a very very fast CPU preset. Both are awful for video quality.

It only takes 30 minutes to encode? What's your cpu and filterchain, or in the very least x264 preset.

My version is released 30 minutes to an hour after the NF JP release.
Netflix’s "international" version comes out a week later—of course theirs is better.

I'll be pedantic but I hope this clears the doubts of anyone reading this: Anime4k isn't an upscaler but Waifu2x is a neural network based resolution doubling model (hence the 2x in the name), so it's an upscaler. It is also widely used by *good* encoders (not NeoLX) for rescaling.

Those are not AI. Those are not even upscalers, they are shitty shaders which people deulude themseleves into thinking it makes their anime look better. It doesn't.. They damage footage by being overly sharp and smear colours and destroy fine lines.  



VHS has an average of 0.08 Megapixels a frame, the average 35mm film stock can range from 25 to 54 megapixels a frame. I am sure you can do the math and work out why old film looks better when "remastered" compared to a VHS copy.  deny it all you want but it is fact.
