Hmm you could maybe try using http://hjsplit.org to join the files together and then try to fix the files using the torrent.

And then use http://rapidcrc.sourceforge.net or http://animechecker.sourceforge.net to check to make sure the file is no longer corrupt.

No it's 1080p with the borders cropped.

I can't even extract them from their .7z without getting a corrupt file message, let alone able to join them together.

Almost every AnonFiles file is corrupt.

It's frustrating because anonfiles is fast and easy (no captcha) and works with download managers.  If you want to explore, there have been reports that better results have been obtained by using the newer alpha or beta releases of 7-zip, or other zip programs. (as of last I looked, 9.20 is stable, 9.22 is beta and 9.25 is alpha).  But read any warnings about alpha or beta risks before use.  With this type of program I'm not as worried, but I used to do some beta testing for Microsoft and they always had dire warnings about what their betaware could to a system.  Of course, some of Microsoft's finished products turned out to be just about as destructive...

Now the files are starting to get corrupt on me again from Anonfiles went like a month (maybe longer) without it saying the files are corrupt and now all of a sudden am getting corrupt files back to back.

That can be fixed by using the torrent to fix the corrupt parts that or completely re-downloading the file from another host site and deleting the corrupt file.

Although the video file is playable after extraction it is indeed corrupt, some parts of the video have all kinds of color pixelations.

The length of a show or movie doesn't equate to file size.

On homepage admin says he changed something to minimize not the frequency but at least the severity of the anonfiles corruption.  Hence, playable more often, I guess.

I have really no clue why 15 out of 20 files i downloaded from anonfiles gives me a file is corrupt message when i extract it, but the extracted file seems to have no problem playing on any of my players.

I'm guessin' these'll also work for their 720p counterparts?

Most are fighting scenes which require a ton of bitrate. 5.1 FLAC usually requires 1 - 3 mbps. This size is indeed normal.
CoalGirls' 720p version will be around 5GB (4.05GB video confirmed). The 1080p version will be smaller than 14GB, unfortunately.

What the fuck? You're already killing the video when re-encoding it once, so what's the point of re-encoding to 8bit and then re-encoding it again to downscale it to 480p when you can do both at the same time with one encode pass.

My Nanoha Movie is 11Gb in size, and my Fate Zero series averages 1.5-2Gb per episode. Might sound nuts to you, but it's a lot of difference when u watch them on a 70 inch TV with a set of 5 surround speakers or a pair $300+ audiophile headphone.

The file size is not video codec but mainly due to audio codec. File size increase tremendously from AAC 2.0 to AAC 5.1, AAC 7.1, FLAC 2.0, 5.1 and 7.1. Remember the number of channels of the audio for true surround sound. Not to mention 4K resolution will become mainstream in 2 years, that's when you'll cry more about file size, even with .H265 codec.

I'll pass on this. 1080p 10bit will take me hours to recode to 8bit, then another hour or so to downsize to 480p.
