Wrong, a few will remember it but most like me won't even think about it. It was a struggle to actually watch all the eps and I wish I had that waste of time back.

Silver medalist was Hibike s3, also a music show, while Makeine got bronze. Thus Girls Band Cry won on merits of its animation, music, characters and story. 5 years from now nothing anime will be remembered from 2024 but GBC, because it's a revolutionary show for the entire industry!

You should never treat MAL scores as gospel.

The movie has not been widely released outside Japan yet. The small sample size of review scores are likely people who reside in Japan who went to see it, or people who are able to watch the raws now that it is available somewhere. But these people are few and far between on MAL.

Everyone will have a different opinion of the movie, and with such a small sample size, the rating will skew more and usually gravitate towards 6-7.

Once the movie is actually available legally in more countries, we should see the number of ratings go up. I haven't seen the movie so whether the score will go up or down I have no idea.

MAL tends to favor generic battle shounen with hype animation though.

I suspect series description ends in off-by-one year (2024).
