Don't you know? You need to donate first. You are required to feed his vodka addiction if you want a shitty English translation.

"lying bastards"

Prove me wrong and quickly post ep 11.
Lmao love that 4th screenshot
This is literally just a recap of S1 with the first two episodes of Season 2 tacked on at the end, pretty much like the Demon Slayer cash-cow movies. Season 2 starts in January. You guys can wait a few more weeks.

ARR is not Kingmenu. Laughable complaints. Any other problems in useless ungrateful leechers' life? Pay or don't complain about a damn thing. It's free! What did you do to deserve it anyway?!
theres no way you have a 1080p somehow unless its a shit AI upscale

Laughably tiny resolution, bitstarved video, poor English translation. Yup, this is a Kingmenu/ARR release.
It's really not lmfao. You can't even see some of the subtitles. Video quality is horrendous. Literally no reason anyone should subject themselves to this - just wait a little longer for a WEB-DL or the BD
idk I'd rather have nothing over this
Better than nothing? (it's shit, but at least it's there)
Pristine video quality. 10/10 /s

Heh, from what I see dingdongmenu only did 1 ep and bARRf has only done 3 eps.
Just look for completed series by groups like SHiZA or CHK.
Sadly I don't keep the iKaos episodes: I download them two by two, work on them and once my version's released, I delete the originals (storage issues).
I'll see if I have the time this week to get EP1-3 again and I'll share a link to you as a reply here.. but no promises ^^"
No problem, if I continue, I'll keep the "2007-09 FUNi “Remastered” Dub (Kikuchi Score)" audio as well as the "Songs/Titles/Signs/NEPs" subtitles since it seems you don't need the dubtitles.

Awesome! Thank you very much. I'll continue to grab them for as long as you continue. 🥳

The default audio/subs will remain Japanese though, you'll have to do the switch yourself 😅

It's no problem at all.

Also, only for episode 4 onwards, the first 3 you can quickly grab the iKaos release and mux them through Mkvtoolnix or some other muxing tool (or just keep those Japanese if that person you live with doesn't mind) 🙏🏻

I have no problem muxing things myself, but unfortunately I'm unable to torrent so I can't exactly grab them. Any chance you'd upload the audio/sub somewhere? No worries if not, just figure it can't hurt to ask.
I guess this is already fetched by AT, Maybe you should get episodes instead of batch.
We are hitting copium levels that shouldnt even possible.
Their website is offline plus you need to pay to access DDL.

Thanks for the follow up.

Doesn't have to be the full image that gets embed in the comment section, could be a little teaser like your screenshot
I have less qualms about thumbnail embeds, however this would require a thumbnailing system, which makes things a lot more complicated than just an external reference.

If I were to apply this system to the last few 'Thumbnail' links you posted, you'd get a small thumbnail of a tile of thumbnails, which probably isn't so useful as the user would need to click to the full image to really get anything out of it.
Or were you planning to do things differently if images could be embedded?
Have you tried their website?
May anyone provide me the link for downloading this? Thanks
Maybe if you prefer sacrificing a large amount of space to a bloated encode for peace of mind they are always going to be inferior to you, but for literally everyone else, I am sure (aka people who don't have OCD over pixel-peeping video quality) they would rather take the vastly more size-efficient and essentially identical looking re-encode

Re-encodes are always inferior, no need to test that. It's a fact.
USUALLY, yes. it's appreciated when uploaders do this, but there's no rule or requirement for them to do so.

and as they already said, they aren't trying to prove a point.

since you're the one making claims that this looks worse (which is a weird thing to say since you even admitted yourself you haven't even watched/looked at this release at all) then it's on you to provide comparisons to support your claim
Well, I have no problem downloading 50gb of anime if the encodes are good. Storage is cheap in where I live. maybe we just look for different things.
i have plenty of re-encodes that i would consider great quality, especially for their size. you'd expect some of these to look terrible given how small they are but they're actually indistinguishable from a bloated high-bitrate x264 encode of the same show
Any chance you'll start including "2007-09 FUNi “Remastered” Dub (Kikuchi Score)" and a signs track?

Not really a dub watcher myself, but live with one that I would love to share this with.
they ARE better, for example, if you are a sane individual and you think 40-50 GB for a 12-episode romcom is fucking ridiculous. that is insanely bloated and just not necessary at all.

i can also see the difference, but ONLY when i pixel-peep the original vs the re-encode. that is also probably because i am familiar with good re-encode groups that care about retaining visual fidelity.

if you're trying to claim that you can somehow spot these minor pixel differences while sitting back and casually watching and not actively comparing them, then you are either bullshitting, or you're just cherrypicking bad re-encode groups like ASW or Anime Time and generalizing all re-encodes to their standards (which are very low)

either that or you're basing your opinion off of illegal streaming sites which are almost always garbage
I'm not the one trying to prove a point.

You're saying that reencodes aren't of great quality and that it's worse than the encode it originated from.

Either prove it or be wrong in silence 🙄
It's usually the uploader who provides comparisons tho.
Again, comparisons? Else it's better if you'd stop commenting on things you don't know.
"Fortunately, my eyes can still see the difference."

1. You haven't seen this encode.
2. Still waiting on some comparisons proving it's worse.

Until then you can save everyone's time and stop talking about things you don't know & can't prove (or don't want to bother to prove which is the same thing).
I'm okay with people enjoying re-encodes but claming re-encodes are "great quality" is just wrong.
Fortunately, my eyes can still see the difference. You enjoy re-encodes and I enjoy non re-encodes. No problem with that. But claiming re-encodes better than actual good encodes is just wrong.
you can absolutely have a quality re-encode with little to no noticeable loss of visual fidelity. the only time you'd be able to spot a difference is if you had the original AND the re-encode in front of you to compare directly (slow.pics), and then zoomed in 400x and pixel-peeped
most of the people who act overly anal about this stuff are just regurgitating stuff they've read on thewiki.moe/seadex/whatever, which was made by a bunch of people with OCD

i can guarantee you if you sat them down and had them watch one of their fancy "seadex approved(tm)" bloat encodes and a good, smaller re-encode of that same show, they wouldn't be able to tell the difference. with a lot of the comparisons they post, you have to zoom in like 400x to even tell that some pixels are SLIGHTLY different.

i used to be that way for a while when i first learned about torrenting anime, but eventually i realized it's really not worth the significantly more space for what is ultimately very little improvement. i prioritize a good AV1 release now as it both looks great AND is really small. it's nice to not be so hung up on that shit anymore
Exactly, not every "encodes" are bad to be used as a source for filtering.. it really depends, but Ikaos are pretty safe to use.
Anyways, I've stopped trying to make them understand, maybe you'll have better luck lol
you can know how to encode and still use a pre-existing filtered encode as a source. an AV1 re-encode of a properly filtered, high quality encode will look better than if you just used the raw BDMV
Clearly I don't care about quality? Well at least I watch the things I complain about unlike some others who just make assumptions on what they read 🙋🏻‍♂️
Well clearly you don't care about quality and yet you're claiming your releases are great. it's weird
