The way some folks around here complain about encodes, you'd think they were being forced to watch them full Clockwork Orange style.  If you don't like it, just find another encode.

EMBER encoded FLUX's 4K HDR release to 1080p SDR, but didn't tonemap... and then stretched the frame so everything is disproportionate. So it's fucked up all around.

That's some mighty dumb guessing you are doing there. Most groups do it for love/fun and don't make money to pay an IT person. When I was a encoder/releaser I was a one man show and didn't make money from it.

There's zero reason to be concerned. CR simply changed some things that broke their bot and real life has taken priority. They already updated folks and told them to expect fixes to be a week out at the earliest.

Terrible encoder if it requires having a mux with bad tags in order to work as you want.

I always re-encode this videos to mp4 for personal use, so if English is not the default audio then it messes things up.

They are trying to 'normalize' it even though they are only a couple of percent of the population. I just avoid shows like this as they really don't add anything of value to my life.

No, you're the one going on about something different, not me. I'm responding to the fact that the first commenter is crying about which track has default and pointing out the fact that they have a config issue and they've completely misunderstood what the default flag even means or does because all languages have default.

he's talking about setting up default playback languages in your player, which everyone should do.  Look in your player's config or preferences sections under audio or subs.

Unless there isn't one.    Toonshub has non-English and raw listings on Nyaa that sometimes get carelessly listed as "English-Translated" on Anidex. I've even seen Toonshub "dual audio" where there was no English.  The dual was PT-BR and Spanish.  I've seen B-Global listings that were only Chinese subs.

So you're talking about something different.

Config issue for you and bad tagging for Toonshub. matroska spec dictates all audio languages have a default even if the muxer incorrectly muxes. This ensures that language preferences work. So if you TELL your player you want English audio, you'll automatically get English audio.

Nyaa's English translated category has proven to be more reliable for ToonsHub than Anidex listings so only Nyaa listings are fetched.

Please fetch this one. Toonshub Sentai uploads are the only uploads that has English dub as the default language.
