Clearly, you only read my first sentence, with that level of literacy, I wouldn't worry about your comment. It's just a trash take.

Provider restrictions are the reason many people can't torrent, even with a VPN, changing settings, etc. many countries implement this.

I think people should learn2torrent now, so you won't end up like a whiner. Can't torrent? well, there's always streaming for you. Cope.

Dat you NeoLX?  The only people that complain are crappy uploaders who don't like comments about their crappy releases.
You are one to talk "Anon". You don't seem to know too much about this site seeing the comments you post all of the time. "an inflated sense of self-importance"

Without comments you take a risk of grabbing bad files. If you don't like the comments then just don't read them. It's not like someone is forcing you to read them.

What I was thinking and hoping for is that when the time comes and someone is able to create an AnimeTosho successor - I think someone said this before, but we still need an operations like this but without the comment section for each page.

The biggest pleas from the majority of us right now is still being able to come to a site like this to simply DDL certain anime episodes that we're looking for after the respective torrents get posted and processed. And of course, all other components as well like anime subtitle files, etc.
I love how people need to give advice to people who don't need it. (Kibitzer)
Unless this is your first time uploading here... this site has been full of offensive comments and people trolling ever since it was created.

Yes, you could separate the uploading component from the AniDB tagging. You could also completely skip downloading/torrenting, at the expense of not being able to do hash based matching (though that often doesn't work too well).

I do plan on releasing all code relevant to this project.

Appreciate your kind comments.

Thank you for running AnimeTosho for all these years.

I understand the shutdown of the AnimeTosho, but I was wondering if the website episode indexing feature could continue operating without DDL. For example, maintaining the episode database and parsing releases from sites like Nyaa without hosting or uploading mirrors.
Many users rely on AnimeTosho for its unique episode indexing and release history. I always went to have something like MangaUpdates or NovelUpdates but for anime episodes .
Also, do you have any plans to release the source code for the website? i love to keep a private copy for private use and as part of my internet history.

Thank you again for all the work you've put into the project.

Thank you so much for al your work throughout the years! I've been lurking an dl from here for at least 5 years. This was my go to as it was easier to search with a no frills feel of the old internet. Though disappointed w the decision, I can understand. Hoping someone can take up the mantle. If you all have suggestions of other similar sites, Id appreciate it

Ah, no need. I don't watch anime like this. Just keep your subs.

My advice: If you encounter offensive comments like mine, try to ignore them. You'll only provoke people to troll you.

I guess this is v2!
Nah, I'm the uploader of the entry, and for this case it wasn't really the issue. FYI, [Gecko] and [geckyzz] labeled releases are directly taken from the streaming site with the modification only made on metadata (e.g. adding optimistic dynamic chapter markers or correctly label tracks) or none.

I've asked to OceanVeil (WWWave) staff about why the hell they hardsubbed it into video, not to mention shit quality of encode... They simply reply to protect... license???? Like, what? This is your own in-house production bruh. I'm more suspicious that they couldn't figure out to render subtitles or secure their tracks with only their one engineering staff on duty.

If you need softsub, simply wait. I've planned to release the softsubbed version of it under my fansub label, alongside with my fixes and interpretation as long as ADN planned to release the episode uncen next month or OceanVeil releasing English dub—either way work, but I'd prioritize ADN due to better quality overall. Until then, enjoy the hardsub.
It's indeed a habit for people to think their efforts and all their energy will be stolen by others.
So hardsubs were made
Pretty funny.
Thanks!

If only that was true...

Shiru is always playing catch up with Hayase's features, and they pretty much write none of the code. They just forked old Miru, slapped some dogshit JS on top of it, and call it "better", and whenever any actual problem shows up they go "oh yeah its bugged in upstream, idk how to fix it", and wait for Hayase to fix the bug in their dependencies, so they can take the fix/update to latest version and be happy after doing no work. They also still use Miru's old API for metadata, and the fact that hasn't been taken down yet is insane. Gotta love the constant code stealing from Hayase too, they even got DMCA'd over it once, then went "oh yeah we'll talk to our lawyers", after which they compiled with the takedown, lawyer probably told them "wtf you're stealing code what did u expect" lol
Can the v2s please be fetched for this batch?
