The only time I see that is when I've paused the player long enough for my storage hdd to go to sleep mode and it is spinning up. Doesn't happen on my SSD.

That is not what I mean, VLC still has a lot of bugs, especially glitches in videos.

Fine, but I haven't run across a video or audio codec that my VLC won't play. It's not like new codecs come out every other week. Updates to the codec yes but it won't cripple VLC from playing. What was the last new codec, AV1? That was long ago and VLC plays it fine.

MPC is old (20+ yrs) MPV is also old 11+ years. VLC gets updates also, not every 2 weeks but once or twice, maybe more a year. So, don't give me that old software garbage.

VLC is old software, updates are slow. Even the much older MPC is more cared for by community (K-Lite) updated every 2 weeks.

VLC plays anything I throw at it. The only issue I might have is over-bloated sub files that crop up (not very often). Except for the bloated subs if VLC won't play it neither will the other 2 players I have. If VLC won't play it for you then it is either an out-dated version or you comp/phone is a real potato.

Leave vlc, this video player is bad for playing videos, not many codecs support this video player.

if vlc isn't the problem, it could be the length of the title.  Move it to a short path like c:\temp and see if it works.

Hidive is not subbing the second part and to be clear, no English fansub group is actually translating this show, all the English subs are from Hidive.

Who cares. You can watch uncensored for 12 minutes and watch Hidive for 2nd part Hidive which doesn't really need censoring. This here giving excuses that the main story is only 12 minutes implying that the second part doesn't matter are full of shit. There are plenty of side anime to main stories with some posted during the episode and some posted separate. I'm shocked the main groups aren't subbing the full 24 minutes. 120 minutes of unsubbed episodes so far. Pretty much everyone that is watching this series would watch the second part. If Hidive is subbing it I wish it would post it. I would download it twice just to have the second part subbed. Not to mention someone would splice it with the uncensored episode.
