You just have to get thru/skip the first half of ep1.  The first half looks like trauma/drama and they lay it on too thick, but the second half suggests this is going to be interesting, clever fun.

I just tried out your suggestion and the same thing happened.

Did the CCCP uninstall first, then restarted, installed the new version and restarted. Some 8bit vids played, but they were blocky (really bad). Horriblesubs releases gave me a black screen in the video player (like last time), 10bit vids were also blocky at some parts. No idea. I just left it as default for everything. Didn't mess with any settings.

I'm just going to give up on the new CCCP unless someone suggests settings I should change.

Old version works perfectly, so it's fine for the time being.

Sorry to hear that, I can't think of a reason why that would happen but, you can try uninstalling the old version first then installing the newer version (opposed to just installing the newer version on top of the one you have) and make sure to restart your computer. That is the only advice I can give.

Try out VLC or another player. Someone told me that GOM player is good for anime.

In the interest of science I have decided to give parts of the 444 and non-444 versions of this film the closest scrutiny possible, starting with the fight between CG Black Leather catsuit motorcycle girl and CG red slit-Chinese Dress girl.

We begin: The red eye shadow of Chinese Dress girl is more pronounced in the 444, as perhaps is the pattern in her leg tights near the "top".  Black skin-tight leather girl, on the other hand seems to be mostly the same in both films.  In either version I can see the same shiny reflections in her tight, tight suit and identify the individual muscle groups of her back and abdomen, all the way down to the lack of any underwear line near her shiny leather buttocks.  Her shiny black-clad breasts also to stand out (and up) impressively in either version.  It may be easier to count individual buckles in her suit with the non-444 version, but the differences are small.

The rest of the frame by frame analysis may take some time, so I think l will leave it at that fpr now.

--I guess this is what CMS-Side Subs intended for us to do, right?

Ouch!  Yogicat challenges our concept of that which is "yogi".  Sorry for the "Boo-Boo" (hohohoho).

I looked around the usual places and didn't find one either.  In terms of fansub sources, only Doki and Farfie have done BD releases.  I don't know Farfie and whether they just use raws.  I'm sure Doki is doing their own encodes from the BDMV but they are kind of possessive about To Love Ru and I doubt they would ever release anything except their encodes.  In terms of non-fansub sources, I don't know much.

I also looked around for any BDMV's from the last series, Motto.  I only found some raws, but that was quite a while ago.
