--More than nothing, less than satisfying.  But I know these guys.  A v2 fix often comes at the end of a long day of speeding the new release out the door.

This is about the 5th v2 I had to re-download this week of various anime from various groups.  Is there some planetary alignment problem right now or ?

Here are the AniDB catagories for Nana: "Angst, Band, Coming of Age, Josei, Manga, Music, Romance, Tragedy".  

I tend to avoid the anime with lots of music or tragedy.  But nine out of ten reviews thought it was a very worthwhile experience.  Would you agree?

Performance varies greatly across different locations for most services.  And some services are blocked by address by some countries.  So try everything.  MediaFire is under scrutiny right now, and likely to have problems for some time.

Where I live, PeejeShare is the fastest at about 2.8MB/sec; MF is second at 2.3MB/sec and SendSpace is third at 1.5MB/sec.  Jumbo maxes at 400K/sec, and goes as low as 50k/sec, as do most of the other services.  Haven't tried ASfile yet though.

Just go with JumboFiles. Most of the time they have rather fast speeds for downloads.

Not that I would ever download Hadena's shit releases.

You're right, but I couldn't find any info on this at their webpage, twitter-page or chatbox.  When there is no note or documentation, it has often been the case that someone put their last effort into fixing a problem before going to bed.  At least at other fansubs I know, on other occasions.

I wouldn't stay up all night for almost any person or reason I can think of.

Both groups of groups (being collaborations) have good reputations, so I wouldn't expect either to be a bad choice.  The best thing is to watch a few minutes of each and see if either seems better to you.

Script aside, one difference is NyanTaku provides 8-bit and Hi10P versions of the 720p, along with a 480p version.

The ancient theory of fansubbing was that fansub translations would be better than professional ones because of familiarity with the world/literature/manga of an anime title, and enthusiasm.

There is a patch and a v2 of this because some the subs are mis-timed because of a commercial.  This is, I believe, an original translation.  This is also their second fansub release, and their first non-hentai one.  I didn't recognize the names of any of their staff, but it's a big universe.   Small staff, no other projects.

So what's the V2 about? That really should be mentioned instead of having to download then guess.

personally i prefer NyanTaku. why? i don't know. its just me.. i look at the two group.. then i chosed nyantaku.. maybe coz i trust them more

"Hatena" was formed by one or more persons who hated "Hadena" subs at a certain time, in an effort to sabotage them a bit.  Their efforts were ok.  I don't think any but they themselves would say they had a godly reputation.

Hadena, at that time, sucked worse than you can almost imagine (like someone had used Google Translates on a closed caption script.  See their version of C3: Cube, Cursed & Curious, for example).  But they have evolved into a normal quality fansub these days.

Anyways, Horizon is probably one of the most difficult titles that there is right now, requiring a through knowledge of the manga if you want to make sense of it, so the more person/groups that try, the better.

So welcome back, Hatena.  If you're still here 10 seasons from now, we can start to have that eclipse discussion.
