1. MediaFire is not to blame.  There is an enhanced enforcement effort by certain organizations (Funimation).  If Funimation detects that certain titles are at certain sites, they send out a Cease and Desist letter ordering the site to delete that file.  If MediaFire complies, no more trouble.  If they don't comply, lawsuit time in a big way.  So they comply.  The solution: -you have to find other download services, at least for a while.  (By the way, even if a file were reuploaded, after the C&D letter it would probably be auto-deleted on arrival.)

2.  Torrents: Bear in mind that torrents are the most public way of downloading a file that there is.  There's even a web site in Russia that published a list of who has downloaded what files with torrents, world-wide.  And every story of legal notices being sent to end users like ourselves that I know of has involved torrents.  So especially under any enhanced enforcement efforts, like now, be certain you know the laws in your own country concerning torrents.  In Sweden, for example, their high court ruled that even running a bit-torrent tracking service is illegal.  That's why Nyaa had to reformulate how they did things all of a sudden.

At downloading services, you are only at risk to the extent that the dl service keeps records of what ip addresses accessed their site and downloaded files, and if someone gains access to those records, as recently happened in the HotFiles case in Florida.  At present, it is probably not wise to use any dl system that is headquartered or has facilities in the US.
who is hatena? i heard that this fansub had a godly reputation in the past, just like eclipse fansub.. is that true?
im beginning to hate mediafire right now.. Im going for torrents!

Commie: If there is a Horrible release of a title, Commie will probably do a Modified-CR.  If there is no Horrible release (meaning no professional script available), then Commie will do their own translation.  In this case, I didn't see any note at Commie's on this title .  I'd say 60 - 80% of their releases lately have been Modified-CR.  Sometimes that means Horrible + OP and EN + Hi10P; sometimes it means more.

Rori has more of a reputation for doing their own original translations, such as is definitely the case with this show.  I don't recall hearing of them ever doing a Modified-CR.  The downside: They will fall behind the weekly release schedule rather quickly.  I think they just released ep8 or 9 of the 12 part "Shining Heart" from last season.

As to your question, you might prefer the style of either version with differences possibly in things like honorifics, or how western things are made to sound, or who knows what; both will probably be reasonably true to the text; you might prefer the idea of a true fansub translation.  If you like the series, try both for an episode or two.  Most people like the weekly new episode idea, and will probably jump ship when Rori lags, planning to watch their version later.

Eh?  Did someone mention my name?  I've waited forever for someone to notice me.  As for the links, the file is gone, no more links.  As for broken links --they break because a vigilance is watching for these properties at these sites.  If you sent the file out again, the links would auto die again.

And, more importantly, there is a v2 of this further up the homepage.

(Don't believe what you read.  We're trying to fool Funimation.  Keep it quiet.)

I just tried the links, and despite the banner deletion, all the uncrossed links still work, except MediaFire.

Policies and business models change all the time.  Right now I think they are trying to change from file distribution (bad) to "Cloud Storage" (good)

I dont really know what is going on; new shows dont have copyrights, and anime will only be licensed after it finished airing in Japan (and that's why we get to watch streaming for free, while streams of older anime that are licensed usually gets taken down).

Depends on your luck; i have some files where episodes go missing, but some are still there even over half a year. The more files your account have, the more likely for u to be targeted. I have over 9000 files there.
I guess the zip thing with random file names didn't work, or was it just unpopular here?  People might be more motivated to try that now.

Your public/private MediaFire idea sounds interesting.  There has been quicker and more aggressive link killing for some of the new shows this season and some of the old favorites like Naruto than I've seen in some while.  It's not hard to put a name to our pain, and it's not MediaFire.  They're just doing what they have to to survive.  It's Funimation (and two or three others, perhaps).
Providing such a feature won't magically make working MediaFire links appear.
There's nothing stopping you posting them in the comments.

By the way, guys, i suggest you create your own free MF account, when a file is uploaded here, u quickly save a copy to your own account. MF allows that, just hit on the left icon out of the 3 icons above the download button. After saving  a copy to your own account, go to your account, change the file status from public to private first before u download from your own account.

If u wish to download it at a later date, try to download it within 2 weeks whenever possible; MF deletes inactive files (not widely downloaded by others) without notifying you because they are a file sharing site, not file storage site.

Mediafire already broke =.=! Just downloaded part 1 and part 2 was broke~so fast
Mediafire became more strict with illegal files since MU was taken down
Many other sites got their account deleted along with their 1000+ files which took several years to be uploaded

Hi10P is merely an improvement in compression efficiency - it says nothing about smaller filesizes or better quality as many things affect that.
In this case, this file is using crf16 whilst Hadena's is crf20. Generalisation: higher value = smaller size, lower quality (although this does not necessarily mean that Hadena's is lower quality).

However, anime encoders tend to be rather, perhaps too much, involved with video encoding and tend to use crf values below 20. I'd say (*subject opinion here*) most people who aren't really looking for defects won't notice them at crf20-22, and those who haven't seen the encoding source or something to compare against (most people out there) would probably be fine with crf22-24. With Hi10P you could probably push crf24-25 on most people without much issue.
Despite the theory, I haven't found either in Hi10P.  The differences are too trivial to get worked up about.
Do you want video quality the same as 8-bit with smaller filesize or better quality?
This is Hi10P, by the way.  And the largest file size anyway.  30MB or so larger than the nearest 8-bit 720p as well.
