It's entirely possible to do the initial seeding anonymously through a proxy or Tor, but you will have to turn off UDP, DHT, and some 2-3 variants of peer exchange, if you configure your client right to not listen, it won't leak anything, but you need to know what goes under the hood and properly test it. Tor will only get you 5-10MB/s seeding through at best and then you won't be able to seed much beyond the initial seeding because peers won't be able to connect to you, but if the goal is to get the release out there, this works and some people do it just fine.
