And don't equate MTL with AI because they are 2 completely different things.

You're way behind the times lol
Just compare these subs with fansubs that were uploaded.

respectfully I'd rather trust a team of fansubbers rather than MTL subs.

AI has use cases, but not for anime or manga translation, sorry.

I come here mainly for the torrent/magnets and the comment section. As another anon said this is a one shop stop, saves time.

You're one of these people who when they see the word 'AI' the only neuron in their brain activates and they start to hate? Have you even checked this? There were many comparisons available on Twitter with Netflix's translation, and I will honestly say that in every case I would choose AI over what Netflix offers.

Free ddls are convenient, but you should never rely on them. Also, ddls come and go. I think you have to get used to that.

Not really, I come here because this site is one shop stop for torrents. Not all who come here needs ddls like you. Sometimes, I help people by reuploading files when AT's links are dead.
Bro it just sounds like you're pushing your agenda onto others. They would be right to ignore you.

Bro hylozoic don't hardsub it 😭, there's always someone in the corner who can make a stylish sub for the series (cool .ssa'sssss)
No one's fighting, we're discussing, and it seems that Trix lacks arguments to prove me wrong and wants to expedite this discussion and move on (quite a habit of his, it seems) so we will :3
Could both of you please stop fighting over such a trivial matter? It's a waste of time.
That mostly says you are assuming a lot about me and my encoding practices. I'm not losing time with you.

Free ddls are precisely the reason most of us come here though. Don't be a buzzkill.

or you know you could spend some dollars on seedbox or vpn so you don't need to rely on free ddls. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Download links to the older files give error because some asshole uploaded a bunch of CP which caused the storage provider to revoke access to the files. Older files can't be downloader until the all the CP files are found and deleted.

Newer files work fine though. I uploaded a file myself to test and it appears to be working.

"Why wouldn't anyone want to release as fast as possible?"

Well, that says a lot about the kind of uploader that you seem to be..

If you love something, like anime, you "pick" the ones you want to work on because you enjoy the anime (not because it's popular), and you spend AS MUCH TIME AS NEEDED into releasing something that adds value to the original. You don't release something half-baked because you have a life and you want to move on to something else.

So yes, most mini-groups out there are releasing HEVC encodes of every anime that gets in their RSS feed, and release them as fast as possible for downloads and popularity, not for the love of a show (or else they wouldn't make minis, or at least they'd be more selective and put more work into it). They'd even stop releasing a show if it doesn't get enough downloads.

That being said, I'll agree that most AV1 encodes would look better than HEVC at similar low bitrates, but again, if you enjoy a show you go for the best quality out there and (sorry to say) but compression doesn't make quality. It's good enough for specific rewatchs and/or for storage (on a hard drive) once you've completed a series though so batch AV1 encodes would make sense.. weeklies, not much.

I now get error 521 from their download links so I assume their download server is down or intermittent (which would affect uploads too).
AV1 is simply way more visually appealing at mini sizes compared to HEVC.
Why wouldn't anyone want to release as fast as possible? We all have lives. Whoever releases first also doesn't necessarily rack up the most downloads, as we clearly see with trash EMBER and Erai-raws HEVC encodes. That's generally not how it works.

How come there's no Buzzheavier download option for the full file or audio in all uploads since yesterday?

Here's one example - https://animetosho.torrentbay.st/view/toonshub-b...p.n1896166

Could you please reimplement it?
Krakenfiles are all up though?
>> "Mini encoders couldn't give a fuck about qc and organization"

I second that, mini-encoding has become a race to who's going to release first and get the most downloads.
Their concern is on the filesize/fast release, not the quality (visuals but also subs/dubs added to their releases).

AV1 encoders care a little more as they want both, but the codec is meh imo.
Can you upload others mirror link because of copyright or the file was got delete by owner?

The link reports "File Not Found Or Deleted" for me.
But when it was active, I didn't notice anything odd from a cursory glance.

Yes, the last segment of the URL is just to get browsers to show the correct filename, so if correct naming isn't a concern, you can put anything there (though extension must be correct).

Unfortunately I don't use Sonarr, so can't give any advice.
If no-one else can help, perhaps try asking people more familiar with Sonarr for assistance.

Hey admin,

I'm hoping whenever you get a chance you can look into something for me.
It looks like the link posted over here  might be malicious or a troll ... I could be wrong but I did try a few things.
I tried downloading the files the user provided twice and the CRCs did not match for some reason and the files wouldn't play in mpv. The mediainfo was a bit weird also. This could definitely be user error, but hoping you or anyone else could take a quick look in case I'm right.

Thanks!

Hi! I'm trying to get the torrent file stored by AnimeTosho. Say I have the URL https://animetosho.torrentbay.st/view/subsplease...kv.1924101 and I wanna derive the direct URL to the torrent file from that like https://animetosho.torrentbay.st/storage/torrent...B].torrent . I want to avoid making another request to the JSON API to get the same. During my testing I also noticed that the last component of the url can be anything? E.g:
Canonical: https://animetosho.torrentbay.st/storage/torrent...B].torrent
Edited: https://animetosho.torrentbay.st/storage/torrent...ar.torrent

Both of these download the same torrent file.

If this one is made from Crunchy source, then video / audio quality would be worse even compared to Sobsplease / Nakayubi fansubs! The muffled nature of sound was quite obvious on CR yesterday, in their allegedly "FHD" premium stream. Sound should matter in a rock MUSIC themed anime! The group Shroud has actual blu-ray rips on this site, with Sobsplease's english script included.
Will these releases continue?

i wanted to setup Animetosho in my Sonarr as an Indexer. I think i did it right but i cant find any Releases from Animetosho when i search manuell. What should i put into the Indexer Tab at Sonarr? I have this as url: https://animetosho.torrentbay.st/s__feed and as api key 0.

I am happy for help.

Thanks for the suggestion.
I don't really need 'more respect', though I do think some commenters could definitely show more respect to others in general.
I believe these to be a small (but vocal) minority however; whilst being more restrictive around commenting could discourage them, I believe that it does also discourage plenty of perfectly fine comments. I'm of the opinion that the majority of well intentioned posters shouldn't pay the price caused by a few bad apples.
